Also, we've seen like 2 lousy promo shots. Everything else we've seen of the suit has been fantastic.

I do think they are unflattering promo shots but based on that and the glimpses we've seen of Batman in the teaser it really does seem like Snyder wants to depict this massive very wide looking Batman.

I'd be surprised if Snyder had no oversight/approval as to which shots would be used in the EW promo pics either.

ANY other background would make them look better. I mean, take cut-out picture of yourself against a white background and then a normal or colored background and see how much better you look, too. Lol

Black makes me look paler than I already am. White makes me look better.

We saw one head-on glimpse of Batman in his normal suit in the teaser and it was a 1 second shot of him standing up from a crouch of something.

Yeah but all of those shots were selected for a reason. Of all the hours of film to pluck that moment from there's a reason they selected that one to be the audiences intro to the character and the one that would be scrutinized for months on end.

The same goes for the promo shots, these are the first professional shots of the characters and they were selected no doubt by the filmmakers.

I have no doubt these images represent the look and aesthetic Zach is going for for his Batman. Obviously they won't look exactly like that the entire film but it's obvious what is being presented represents what Zach wants the public to see. It's the opposite of set-pics where you might be catching a character at an inopportune moment.

Seriously, though, I get your point. What were they thinking...? They really need to invest in some better graphic designers at EW.

Is it just me, or does WW's top in that photo look like it's not really on her? It's like it's been laid on top of her because there's no shadow on the sides to create a sense of depth.

Yeah, I can see what you're getting at when I focus. They really tried to butcher these photos as much as possible at EW.

I still think that it looks better than most of their covers. So that should say something.

Honestly, after seeing their Terminator pics I was expecting far worse

This EW cover does Ben and the batsuit no favors. It actually made the suit look kinda ugly tbh

The suit looks great imo, and just like the teaser trailer. It does look better from the front, though, like the leaked Batman promotional picture. I especially like the way the texture of the suit looks with that lighting.

I don't see how anyone could have a problem with the cowl after the BB one. THAT one needed fixing. The neck was all wrong. The new one might look really thick, but it pulls it off.
