Head aside, he seriously looks like a guy wearing a sweatshirt and jeans.

...it happens a lot when they try to do a "doll" with cloth-like clothing and "realisticc proportions.

Just looks wrong.

That is why Barbie has the proportions she had/has. When you add the "too thick"'full size" cloth on a 1/6 scale doll, you end up with...

... Na na na na na na na NA...BagMan...

Yeah, the Hot Toys figure is disappointing. Obviously they ran into difficulties duplicating this particular costume at that scale, which is too bad. I have the Hot Toys Robocop, which is basically a perfect representation of that character, so it's unfortunate to see they didn't knock this one out of the park, too.

I missed the boat on their 1989 Batman (now if I were to get it on Ebay it would cost twice as much), and was considering picking up the BvS Batman... until I saw it.

Maybe I'll get the Batman Returns figure instead. Or Captain Phasma.

It honestly doesn't look that bad lol. I just think they should have fixed the posture and widened the shoulders, still.. Not that bad

I still can't get over the obvious lack of attention to his musculature. It almost looks like the costume was in the process of being inflated with air.

The only thing I'd change about the DOJ Bat-Suit is that I'd add the classic spike things too the bottom of the cape.

I'll say again that to my eye the Dc Collectibles ones look way better.

nah

What's the point of comparing it to that armored batman anyway?

The main problem with the batman figure is his shoulders need to be wider and the suit needs to look like it fit tighter. The details are fantastic though.

I just hope that isn't the final product Hot Toys Batman.

It might not be. Depending on what the release date is, It could be just a prototype.
Then again ...
Could be better, but it looks OK to me. I'll probably still get it, and hopefully Supes and Wondy, too.

Agreed on all accounts.

That Batman figure is quite disappointing :(

The suit looks so baggy in comparison to how it looks from the trailers/promotional images.

Alfred: "that's not what they mean by pumping up, master Bruce"

Didn't Plucky Duck wear a Batsuit with inflatable muscles in the Tiny Toons parody?

Maybe we should leave him alone? Batman is depressed because Catwoman broke up with him. That explains why he's wearing pajamas and crying in front of the TV with a big bowl of Mr Freeze's Homemade Ice Cream.

Or, it could be the "Hazbat" suit. Kryptonite and all that stuff.

Quite silly looking that Hot Toys figure, surprisingly, since I think their work in general is stellar. I hope that it is not the finished version.

The DC Collectibles one looks quite terrific.

I looked at pics of Hot Toys' MOS Superman. I saw one where he didn't look right, which is how I remembered him. And then I saw others, where he looked good. So, maybe when the product is out, Batman will look good.

To show that there's two versions of the DC Collectibles BvS Batman available. And then whether as a customer you'd prefer to buy one or the other (DC Collectibles vs. Hot Toys). To me that armored figure is a way more appealing figure to own. Like not even close.

Edit 1: At least I'm assuming it's two different versions. Maybe you can actually put the mech-suit on a single figure?

Edit 2: Okay, no, it looks like they're two separate statues.

Edit 2: I will add that if Hot Toys eventually tweaks the Batman statue to improve it, that's different obviously. The Superman one is out of this world. But I agree with what Sawyer said earlier that HT's Batman in its current forms looks like he's wearing jeans and a sweat shirt. And there's the fat neck thing.
