Good Lord, that thing is life-sized.

I still can't get over the obvious lack of attention to his musculature. It almost looks like the costume was in the process of being inflated with air.

It's the cloth outfit. Have to use it to pose nice.

Maybe it can be shrunk to his body and tightened up?

I'm sure a nice pose can be found to make him look more natural,-

...but that pose may be huddled at a corner table in the dark at the local Pizzeria !
:sly:

I looked at pics of Hot Toys' MOS Superman. I saw one where he didn't look right, which is how I remembered him. And then I saw others, where he looked good. So, maybe when the product is out, Batman will look good.

Damn... This was a sad day. What's really bad is how that suit fit like a glove. It was the body they put it on that was all wrong. And they fixed it but made all new mistakes.

They should have gone with the Arkham Knight physique. The skin looks great on it.

The Superman version look so much better

I think it goes back to my points about Batman's film built being really awkward to capture in still images/figures.

Yeah, the Hot Toys figure is disappointing. Obviously they ran into difficulties duplicating this particular costume at that scale, which is too bad. I have the Hot Toys Robocop, which is basically a perfect representation of that character, so it's unfortunate to see they didn't knock this one out of the park, too.

I missed the boat on their 1989 Batman (now if I were to get it on Ebay it would cost twice as much), and was considering picking up the BvS Batman... until I saw it.

Maybe I'll get the Batman Returns figure instead. Or Captain Phasma.

You just know there's going to be a better Mk 2 version. How many Begins/TDK(R) ones did they do? They got better every time.

But yeah, it's looks like it'd be pretty hard to replicate the costume. The could do the entire bodysuit as a sculpted rubber thing like the Arkham one was and it would look perfect, but wouldn't have as much flexibility.

It's not a lack of attention, just that it's really hard to do it with a cloth suit at this scale. They can't just use the same material as the Superman one does.

It honestly doesn't look that bad lol. I just think they should have fixed the posture and widened the shoulders, still.. Not that bad

if this came out five or ten years ago, people would be saying it looked utterly amazing. But the quality of these figures has advance so much.

To show that there's two versions of the DC Collectibles BvS Batman available. And then whether as a customer you'd prefer to buy one or the other (DC Collectibles vs. Hot Toys). To me that armored figure is a way more appealing figure to own. Like not even close.

Edit 1: At least I'm assuming it's two different versions. Maybe you can actually put the mech-suit on a single figure?

Edit 2: Okay, no, it looks like they're two separate statues.

Edit 2: I will add that if Hot Toys eventually tweaks the Batman statue to improve it, that's different obviously. The Superman one is out of this world. But I agree with what Sawyer said earlier that HT's Batman in its current forms looks like he's wearing jeans and a sweat shirt. And there's the fat neck thing.

But the HT one isn't a statue. It's a clothed articulated figure - comparing it to a statue is not fair, it's apples and oranges.

I think Ben will be tinkering with his gloves a lot in the movie. He also does in in the new Batman game too with the BvS skin.

The mouth on that statue looks less like ben afflecks and more like the mouth that batman has in arkham knight.

I've prepared myself to be disappointed with the first version of Wonder Woman
