I would love for this to be the suit:
Artwork by Daniel Araya
There's something odd about the cowl in those pics which makes him look more like Cat Man or is it Wild Cat? I forget his name. Anyway, the DC character who is a boxer.
You mean Wild Cat, and I think it is the purple/black colouring.
I know this design is stylized, but I love the cowl design. I really like the idea of Batman's armor looking like a modern Ring Wraith. If his suit genuinely looks intimidating and predatory, than glowing eyes (I'm still thinking contacts like Scott Snyder's Batman, to allow for him to actually narrow his eyes) fit this kind of inhuman appearance.
...both of these are interesting. It wouldn't be bad if the gray were darker. I just do not want to see anything like TDK/TDKR on screen ever again.
Just as an aside ... We've seen now Affleck in quite a few manips in the bat suit, and I must sat without equivocation, he certainly looks the part, that's for sure. IMO, better than any we've gotten so far. As of now, I have no concerns about that. The only thing left is how he will perform. (and I am fairly sure he'll do that well, too.)
These are all amazing. I'd go nuts if we got something like this in the film.
I'd love something like this, just change the logo to the one from Arkham City.
I don't mind the fabric, but if they're going to go that route, I'd like to see some definition peeking through, like with Superman. I'm not a fan of the belt or gloves. The ears should be a little longer. I don't really like the cape attachment. And like you said, that symbol needs to go.
But yeah, honestly, it's not bad. I really like how durable the fabric looks.
That's actually a custom made 12" figure (except for the face).
Not a big fan of that "chunky" looking Batman. What I love about the concept art I posted above is that it looks like a good mix between classic (BTAS) and modern armor. It doesn't look cheap or cheesy. I especially love how the cowl and cape attachment looks. I wish TDK/TDKR had that suit instead of that crappy jigsaw puzzle looking suit.
I was watching comicbookgirl19 on youtube and she mentioned something about being friends with someone that works in wardrobe and costuming at Warner Bros. Anyway she mentioned that they've already made a costume for Ben before he was even announced. Did anyone else know or hear about this?
I like almost all of those lense ideas.
Though this needs better refined materials I like the color scheme for this Batman costume quite a bit.
I hope we dont get a really pointed nose like in a few of these pictures. It could end up looking like it takes up half the cowl like it did for the TDK suit.
I also hope for less of a bulky forehead. Man The TDK cowl really messed up.
I'd love that. It even addresses the Affleck chin.
I agree with this. The nasal area should just be part of an angled face plate, I think. This is how it is handled in Neal Adams' seminal design:
This is something they got right with the B89 costume:
It looks much less awkward, in my opinion.
It's very possible they took inspiration from the other Batman projects and Justice League: Mortal in the same way they did for the Superman suit.
So while a design may be finalised the suit won't be made yet, filming is still months off and they can't risk Ben not fitting in the suit, wasting millions and then delaying production.
I have a suspicion that they had already known who their Batman was going to be when they announced Batman/Superman at comic con. I am willing to bet that Ben has already seen the costume and may have even tried it on already.
I'm willing to bet it's a lot easier for studios to negotiate with big actors and work on pre-production in secret when most people aren't aware a specific movie is actually in development. Before the announcement (hell, even after), I don't think anyone would have looked twice if Ben Affleck were having meetings with VIPs at WB.
What should the Batsuit look like? Here are your choices Snyder:
Arkham Origins, Arkham City, Arkham Asylum, Alex Ross, New 52, Hush, Long Halloween.
Any one of those. Also the long ears and no white eyes.
Do you trust her?
I do that kind of thing a lot.
aren't all of his films distributed via WB?
