Guessing that's where the contact lenses come in like Young Justice.Doesn't matter what it was. Looked like tiny TV screens.

Sometimes, although Affleck had admittedly put on more weight during the JL reshoots so that sort of aggravated the issue.

Well the trade-off with the turn-able neck in BvS is that they had to make it crazy huge (which I know some people liked), so if Reeves wants something more form-fitting then we're going to run into the same issues as before. At least with the current practice of using one-piece rubber cowls.I just remember the excitement of some fans when we saw he could turn his neck during the BvS and SS times. Especially when one stunt double in SS was on top of Joker's car.
Eh, if they feel a need for Batman to have tech like that.
And I don't remember them showing that anyone in the Bat family had such a thing in Season 1 or 2. But, they still had white eyes. Then there are the character who don't wear masks with white eyes or when they aren't wearing masks. I mostly feel this film won't go that route.

I wonder if they could get a cowl that goes around the head and just cgi the part that covers the neck? Might look bad.
So he’d have an in-universe reason for having an animatronic cowl? What would that be? Can you think of anything that would sound silly?
"Filled in with CG".
Seriously? Do you need to? It's a friggin' cowl, not Iron Man nanotech. Completely unnecessary - CG's for what you can't do any other way, it shouldn't be this fallback crutch the way it is now.
Just hire a competent designer, there are like a dozen high-profile ones in the industry. It's worked so far, we don't need to be animating or touching up the damn thing in post.
Note that it goes beyond just "is it plausible?" There is also the question of "is it thematic?" Which is to say. . . sure, you could justify it via supertech, like with Spider-man's new outfit. However, this means going with a Batman who has rather ostentatious supertech in his costume. Do you actually *want* to turn Batman into a supertech hero in this manner, or would you rather him be a more classic ninja-with-gadgets design?
Now, 'Supertech Batman' is a perfectly valid creative choice. If that's what you want, great. However, a lot of people have voiced a desire to go the other way, with less armor-y bat suits and more classical imagery. This is also fine. . . but it logically means you also need to give up on the fancy reactive face mask.
In order for the head to turn and not have latex riding up, buckling or putting pressure on the actors neck/jaw creating a puffy, uncomfortable look etc I simply stated that the cowl under the jaw and around the neck could have seams, to allow room for maneuver. Then, in post, smooth out the seems so that it looks well.. seamless. Not really sure why that would upset you when half of capes we see in the DCEU are cgi... the armour in BvS too... heck, even Supermans face in JL. But sure - I guess hiding seams is too much!

Hell, I don't even need the head to turn. If they can find a way to make it happen while still keeping the panther-neck and not going a CG route, go for it. But no more of that SWAT-team-man "practical" crap from the Nolan sequels for this one. Better not being able to look left and right than that again.
Go more fantasy with this one, one of the few pluses to the Affleck stuff is they didn't worry too much about all that. Iconography & classicism is way more important with the suit than making sense.
Make the texture like Captain America's suit or Spider-Man Homecoming suit, get rid of the boxers and we're good. Also, make the cowl metallic and the gauntlets too.Cloth Dave Mazzucchelli suit please.

Sure - go out to fight crime - who cares if the suit works - long as it looks cool!!Hell, I don't even need the head to turn. So like Marvel’s iron manMCU costumes are too bland for my taste. Batman needs to look "shiny and chrome", imo. Just dressing him in fabric tights with a bunch of seams won't do it for me. Maybe it will work in some super-visionary take that goes against blockbuster ambition, TV series maybe, but I'm not counting on it.
