Black with blue tint is the most likely scenario if there's any truth to any rumors. I mean they practically already did it kinda for all the JL marketing with Batfleck
Yeah, I'm wagering that if we get a Blue/Gray Batsuit, the blue hue will most likely be a lot like this. And personally I think it looks great!
In all honesty though, I don't know if it's even possible to make a better batsuit than the one in BvS and JL. Those were so simple, and effective, and not to mention, probably the most comic accurate of anything live-action so far. Going with the Bermejo design would seem too over designed for live action, and it's impossible to go back to an all black aesthetics now after what Snyder gave us. Just change the sculpt of the cowl and some of the muscles and call it a day. Hell they can even bring back the briefs since we saw that work the Arkham games before Arkham Knight if they want to differentiate from Snyder's design but keep the overall look.
If you ask me, Nolan and Burton both did a better job in 1989 and 2005. But that's where we venture off into subjective tastes, and admittedly I'm just not a fan of the Miller look for Batman.
I will say that if we get another fabric, more plain looking Batsuit, I hope to God that Reeves and his team at least opt for a larger, more lush cape than the CGI one that Snyder utilized. Obviously that technique worked well for the fight sequences, but I always felt that you need something more
grandiose to convey that "Creature of the Night" vibe Bruce tries to project as Batman to spook criminals.
Part of why I've always preferred a somewhat more armored look for live action Batsuits is because, to me at least, it tends to look alien enough from the normal human physique to where I can imagine that criminals would only see glimpses of the armor- up close or from a distance- and shrouded in darkness while panicking with adrenaline, to the point where they'd make the mistake of thinking that Batman isn't human.
If you're going for a more leather-y or fabric look for the primary suit, I think that needs to be blended away by a different element of the costume to project that illusion. Otherwise, like in BvS/JL, Batman just tends to look rather clearly like a man in a costume- albeit a big man who can clearly kick anyone's ass into next week, but a man. And that, to me, goes right in the face of the idea of Batman creating a symbol that terrifies criminals, who are "a cowardly, superstitious lot."
