I don't love it but overall, I'm very intrigued by it. The cowl looks bulbous and awkward from some angles and from a top view angle very menacing and badass. I like the length of the ears just wish they were thicker. I applaud Reeves for going so left field with it.

And it’s only the legs. Which are barely seen or lingered on. And the legs were motocross inspired. This one is equally if not more over designed. It wasn’t all foam either. Nolan suit looked gorgeous and imposing in natural Or even harsh lighting. Like actual armor.

One thing is for sure: I wouldn't really like to take a punch from this Batman. He looks really bulky and rough with all this dust and semi rusted/rusted metal, all this mad max type stuff. Dude looks mean.

He looks like a guy who saw alot from life and really doesn't care anymore. He is the bad cop.

Any suit that honors the grey and black scheme will most likely get my approval.

I never wanna see an all black suit on screen again. Or anything Schumacher did, just for good measure.

Mental gymnastics aside. This is probably the most all black uniform we’ve ever gotten. The belt is black even for God’s sake. It’s a really dark near black gun metal.

This one's more militaristic and "real," but the TDK suit is a straight-up eyesore to me.

I think Pattinson's actual costume will look even more like armor based on the screen test, it seems the stunt suit is made of a different material to, well, make the stunt easier.

I don't hate it and I don't love it. Like others, I'll wait for proper footage of Pattinson in the suit before giving a full judgement.

I had a feeling Reeves would go for this aesthetic, but hey, it is what it is.

They don't, but they should.

Narratives, both positive and negative, are being formed around unofficial set photos of a stunt suit. If they want to try and clean up the more negative reactions, an official still of the "hero" suit would do that.

As long as the body portion resembles grey and the bat symbol is dark enough to differentiate from the grey, that works for me. That’s Batman.

I don’t doubt that the suit will eventually evolve, perhaps even more throughout the course of the film.

How did you arrive at this conclusion when I basically said that the only thing he got right was the suit? You should read what I wrote again and think it out a bit more

Gauntlets which are traditionally protective metal or bladed weapons being turned into straps ... is remedial.

Hopefully brass knuckles are built into the gloves ala Nolan and Snyder

Well…. There we have it. I’m still looking forward to the film and hope to see more official photos that will change my mind. But based on this. I have to say…….. unfortunately, for me personally, that cowl is absolutely atrocious. Sorry to those that love it, its just my opinion, but that looks absolutely horrible. In fact, I must say that it reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman cowl from Batman Returns. It basically has longer ears and black stitching instead of white stitching but that is what it reminds me of.

The costume itself, while I’m not a huge fan of a few aspects of it, I do find acceptable. I like the chest, shoulders and arms but I’m not a fan of the gloves/gauntlets and a couple other details. But as I said I’m fine with it otherwise.

Also, after first seeing this I must admit I was a bit worried as well because I was like “where is the cape” but then remembered that the cape can be seen on Pattinson in the first reveal video that Matt Reeves released. So at least I feel better about not seeing it while the stunt Batman is on the Motorcycle.

It's important to note that the stunt guy has tracking dots on his face so maybe even the cowl is a bit different to make it easier to replace it with Pattinson's face. Especially the eye area.

I haven’t outright hated a single Batsuit. I’m not being hyperbolic when I say that the only Batsuit I can safely say this is better than is this one... it’s just my opinion. And like I said, I don’t hate it and haven’t hated any suits, but this is the only one I think it’s undeniably better than:

Currently I'm feeling very similar Rorschach. And to add to that, unfortunately. Its the cowl that kills the entire look of the new suit for me. Had it had a better cowl I'd probably find it more acceptable. I do like many aspects of the suit itself with a handful of dislikes. But I cannot personally grasp what they were thinking with that cowl design.
