Christmas Vacation is my go to movie every holiday season. I can go years without watching some of the others mentioned here, but not Christmas Vacation. It's pretty much on repeat in my house during the week of 12/25.......

I know right and after watching Christmas Vacation for the first time ever in my life last week I realize exactly why it is an all time Christmas classic

But you really need to watch The Ref (1994) with Denis Leary, Kevin Spacey and Judy Davis now that is a Christmas classic it's a Christmas cult favorite trust me

Yes! I used to watch that a lot! May have to dig it up again.

Another movie I dug up again recently was "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". (We had to read the book at school but it was called "The Worst Kids In the World") It's an old TV movie. It's mainly for kids, but it is funny (as I recall):

And kudos to those who mentioned "Santa Claus: The Movie"! It did get a bad rap on release but I liked it, esp. the first half/origin of Santa Claus.

Jingle All The Way with Schwarzenegger and Sinbad is another one I will definitely have to dig up but another Christmas movie or movie series guilty pleasure of mine would be the Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen

Or the Charlie Brown Christmas special or the Shrek Christmas special

Some of the Harry Potter movies have a good Christmas feel to them.

Santa Claus: The Movie, with Dudley Moore and John Lithgow

Deck The Halls with Broderick and DeVito is another underrated Christmas classic or even Fred Claus with Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti
