The kiss in TDKR was a kiss goodbye. Lois and Clark's wasn't forced to me but it was after thousands have died, so it could be taken that way.
For me it all comes down to the line of dialogue in each. I feel the line that was said between Lois and Clark was SUPER cheesy and was thrown in as a joke by Goyer. It was the only moment of dialogue that made me cringe.
That to me made the kiss feel ridiculous as SOON as it was said. It was also delivered in a somewhat jokingly way. Especially said AFTER this havoc just went down.
Versus.
Bats/Cats where the dialogue is said before the kiss...
Bale + Hathaway win. In their minds it's the last time they'll ever see each other before Bruce dies, and there's this chemistry/connection building up between them throughout the film. While Amy/Henry were fine with each other, the chemistry wasn't as huge. They had buildup moments too but it felt more like "you know my secret. im attracted to you. you keep saving my life. I like you. let's kiss." Selina + Bruce felt deeper to me. They're both lost, both hiding identities, both saving each other in different circumstances.
You have a kiss from Lois and Clark that's put in there for the women in the audiences who want to see that stuff. Then you have Selina + Bruce where it's there for the story primarily. The first kiss Selina gives him at the ball is a distraction to steal his keys lol then the one at the end has meaning. But it's not some slow kiss that's zoomed in on as a gimmick. Like these movies usually have with the superhero.
