Sort of a game, but not really.

One poster post the title of a movie, the next poster that comes along tells what his/her favourite scene from the film is and why (further discussion is allowed) Until someone names an other movie.

I'll start with a title, so that this thread can start off I'll say;

Batman Begins

I liked it when Bruce was under the log and then Micheal Caines character says 'Whats the point in doing all them push up if you cant lift a bloody log'. Then he takes him down the shaft and says something like 'Why do we fall, sir? So that we might better learn to pick ourselves up'.

The final scene on the rooftop, from the introduction of the bat-signal to the joker card to the jump off the roof. It's all good.

"It's not who I am underneath...but what I do...that defines me."

"...Bruce?"

With that, Batman hurls himself into space off the ledge, free falling through the haze of smoke and dispersed fear toxin. As Rachel looks on in approval of her friend, Batman takes wing, turning his cape rigid into the wings of a bat.

I remember seeing that in the theater. I knew it was coming but the anticipation to it was great. I got such a kick out of seeing that card. Awesome.

Wow, you do make that sound fantastic.

I never said thank you

And you'll never have to

The way the movie shows such restraint in delivering crowd-pleasing moments of Batman lore is what makes it so effective when Nolan does give us those scenes. The scene in which we see the Joker card is a spine-tingling moment because it's not overdone (less is more), and directly taps into the fact that the audience already knows all the mythology of Batman. While the earlier, "I'm Batman!" line is a cheer-worthy homage, the Joker card sequence is magic because it works in and of itself, and also immedietly creates a tantalizing eagerness for what is to come.

Dude, you should have written the novelisation.

Oooh, Good one. I'll go for the Flass Interrogation. That's classic Batman.

Oh my God! Those are my two least favorite parts of the entire movie. The "backup" sequence reminds me of something from the old Adam West show and the interrogation sequence has Bale doing his worst Batman lines in the movie, laughable dialogue there.

But overall, I did like the movie, so...I've always liked when Bruce was being inducted to the League of Shadows. Eventhough he's far from putting his costume on yet, it's cool foreshadowing seeing him refusing to execute the criminal and saving Ra's from the fire, then pulling him up with one arm like that. It made me smile when I saw it in the theaters. How's about a new movie now, though?

Really? I can't imagine West's Batman being trapped by police and calling in a huge black cloud of bats, and then leaping amongst them, cape fully spread....

Vincent driving Mia Wallace to his friends to get the adrenaline needle. Everytime I watch it I want Vincent to save her because you can just feel how screwed he would be if he didn't make it.

Pulp Fiction

"Bring out the Gimp."

Not really. I enjoy how matter of fact Vincent is when he just shot Marvin in the face. That and of course Christopher Walken's cameo-best cameo sequence ever IMO.
