I wanted to pillage.:(

Anyway, wheres the best place to eat?:)

Depends what yer lookin' fer. There was this great diner in Brooklyn but they closed up. I could recommend The Square Diner on Varick in downtown, or Jekyll & Hydes on 57th. Th' McDonald's on 42nd is great too. The Moondance Diner on 6th's a li'l pricy, but worth th' food an' to see all th' Spideys on their menus.

i thought the blackout was kind of cool too. i like the way all the bodegas in my neighborhood brought out baskets of goods to sell at the front entrance- and if you needed something else they'd go get it for you.
One of the bigger places had a tiny emergency generator going, just enough power to run some "miner" lights along the aisles. it was weird. but cool.

best place(s) to eat?
Mamouns.
That little Jamaican place on Sullivan has good vege patties:up: (it's just up the block from a comic shop, too)
Italian: Tello's (west side n.19th i think)
Just Pizza: Two Boots. (Or Maria's on N.7th in Williamsburg)
Planet Thai in Williamsburg is fun too.

Oh yeah, best pizza I ever had was on 18th an' 75th in Brooklyn.

Heh I worked fer a big supermarket at th' time, in fact was my day off an' they called me in. They were closin' when I got there 'cause they got no generators. Morons.

Well there's this small diner named Old John's in Columbus Circle.. I used to take my ex there all the time.. best damn steak and eggs I ever had.. it's small and quiet.. really nice.

to get the best hamburgers.. there's this place in the upper east side in the 60's... called Jackson something... amazing.

Cake Man Raven's in Brooklyn for red velvet cake. a slice is as big as a whole cake other places. Damn good.

Of course tehre's Junior's in Brooklyn. Their hamburgers are great too.

But nothing, NOTHING ever tops a dirty water dog from a vendor.

Nathans... :o

Nathan's hot dogs put all others to shame. IMO

Meh. Nathans is hit or miss. Dirty waters are always great.

Nathans burgers are good, though, but too small to be worth $4.

The Malibu Diner down in the Chelsea is very good. I've mentioned 8 Mile Creek, the Australian place in this thread before, and that's very good. Cabana at Pier 17 is great for Cubano food, and Sevilla down in the West Village has fantastic Spanish food (the sangria at both of those places is awesome, by the way).

WHITE CASTLE! Almost forgot! You gotta hit up WC! Taste just as good comin' up as they did goin' down. Mmmmm, White Castle...

There a ton of great places to find good pizza.I like Gabriel's on Hillside Ave.,in Hollis.

My 'rents love this Happy Buffet place in th' 90s in Brooklyn. Personally never been to one 'cept in Binghamton.
