It certainly checks off the boxes for Oscar recognition. But we'll see where it goes and how it's handled.

I just don't get how people think Oscar nominations are a way of validation for any type of movie. Both sides aren't helping.

I think the title is brilliant. A white kid brings home a permission slip to their racist parents allowing them to watch "Birth of a Nation" and they quickly sign it thinking it's the 1915 version.
