My trailer idea:

It starts with a suit rip reveal from Superman that shows the nano technology closing in over his upper chest area. Cuts to Diana in a business woman outfit, walking down a street. Bruce Wayne bumps into her and smiles. She then smiles back, and he says "I'm Bruce Wayne." and she responds "Diana" then another cut to Lex Luthor looking out from his building at night.

The camera pans to the rooftop and Batman is there with some flashes of lightning and rain is just starting to pick up. Superman lands on the building and approaches him. "Hanging out on rooftops?" Batman: "Something like that..." cut to Superman: "A storm is coming." Batman: "It's already here." *vanishes* Cue the logo!

Ok now everyone come on here and tell me it's too long or something and rain on my creativity :p

Teaser trailer:
Similar to the two MOS teasers in which Jonathan and Jor-El give monologues about what they feel their son should aspire to be.

Teaser trailer #1 would be from Superman's POV and how he doesn't want Batman's vigilante justice in Metropolis

Teaser trailer #2 would be from Batman's POV and how Superman is an alien who shouldn't be trusted.

WW probably won't be getting as much screen time as BM/SM...but I hope the first trailer features Diana in costume using at least one of her powers in an awesome and magnificent way. :woot:

:hehe:

I was thinking they might leave it up in the air as to whether we see her in the costume or not in this .

They will want to start big buzz for this film right away. There will be a 30 second teaser style footage at Comic Con in the Hall...without a doubt IMO.

Plus apparently the entire Avengers2 cast will actually be there. I don't see WB letting Marvel completely steal the show. The only character that's never appeared on the big screen in live action is WW. So hoping they do use her in some capacity.

I had this idea for a MOS2 teaser trailer way before it was announced that it would be a Supes/Bats movie. Im not in the mood to type out too much now so here's the short version:

We see a TV. Various channels switching. We see a person from behind on a chair and only a hand with a remote flipping through the channels. The person stops for a few seconds on one or two channels that show Superman doing a few rescues, shot with the iphone style footage, save for one ''money shot'' of a TV crew. Then the person stops at the final channel which is broadcasting a press conference with Lex Luthor. Luthor is giving a speech (shortened for the teaser of course) in which he talks about Zod's invasion and the danger that Kal-El potentially poses for earth. Basically a bit of an anti-Superman speech.

Then the hand would turn off the TV and put down the remote (with the right hand). The left hand would pick up a photo. It would be a photo of Pa Kent, Ma Kent and young Clark. The camera would then pan around the chair and reveal this photo:

superman_-_alex_ross_-_chair.jpg

The exact ''Snyder replicated'' shot. Clark would then take off his glasses and turn the lights out. S would fade in to the screen or something.

Then I heard Batman was in the movie and I thought that as Clark would turn off the light we would see a shot from the outside, see the light go off from a nearby rooftop of a smaller building (Clark lives in an apartment in the higher levels of the skyscraper, so that he can fly off in call of danger). On that rooftop, a ''creature'' would emerge from the ground up, or at least it would look that way. It would be Batman and he'd look up to the room and the lighting would strike, revealing him in full glory for a second. Bats would fly off to the screen and the Supes/Bats logo would appear.

Well anyway, that's what I would do for a first teaser. It would basically tell us that it's a direct sequel to MOS, tease the Lex angle and at the end show that Batman joins the party too.

I'm sure they will of course show Supes and Bats. Then some quick snippet of Gal as WW toward the end of the footage to make the crowd go nuts! lol

:hubba

if we get a teaser at comic con it will probably be like this

For a teaser trailer, I'd keep it really simple.
I'd show groups of people cheering/protesting Superman, scenes involving the memorial statue. The whole trailer would be voiced over by Lex. In the end, we'd reveal Batfleck, talking to Superman, them about to duel.
I'd maybe have a shot or two of Gal, but leave her in the costume out. Save her for later. Focus the marketing first on solely Superman and the new Batman.

First teaser trailer nothing but the :super::batty: symbols with shots of Metropolis and Gotham. :funny:

Shot of Lex in front of Lexcorp giving a speech. "Two years ago I watched the fate of our world rest in the hands of an alien." Shots of the military. "That day I made a promise that I would put it back in the hands of mankind."

Shots of Metropolis' destruction on monitors in the Bat-Cave with Bruce and Alfred watching. "Gotham isn't the only city that needs my help." "Which help are you referring too?" Shot of Batman jumping through the air with lightning in the background. Superman hovers above Batman. "I heard you have a habit of interfering where you don't believe." "You should talk." "I didn't ask your help vigilante." "Given your Messiah complex you wouldn't accept it if I offered."

Shot of Lex and Bruce at Lexcorp. "What makes you think you can stop him?" Lex takes out Kryptonite from the box, "I can level the playing field. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Close up of Diana. "First an alien now a vigilante. Makes you wonder what else this world has to offer."

I want dialog from Lex that ilkustrates his mind set, some dialog from Superman, some from Batman, one effect shot, maybe two some shots of the supporting cast (Diana in civies), Lex in an office setting and end it with one shot of the main event, Superman and Batman standing in the frame together on opposing sides.

Sounds good to me. Now tell us your action sequences for the next trailer. :woot:

I have a few ideas for trailers floating around in the brain...

A Lex/Batman one:

It starts with a shot of the inside of a massive office. You can see lights of a city outside massive windows, but nothing more. The camera pans to one side of the room and there's a figure at a huge desk. The figure can only be seen in shadow at first, but the camera moves in closer and the dim lights outside illuminate the figure of a man, just a bit. He's wearing a business suit and has a bald head (I wonder who? lol). He's looking down at something hidden behind the desk in his hands. As he does this, he speaks:

"Do you remember...what is was like...before he arrived..."

The bald man looks over towards the other side of the room as he says this and then back down at whatever is in his hands. Another voice, a deeper voice from somewhere in the room replies to the bald man:

"He's been here for a while." It's a matter-of-fact, unamused tone.

"Yes, certainly," the bald man replies with a bit of a chuckle, "he was here...hiding from us...Letting us enjoy our free will for a few years more..."

There's a brief silence and the bald man speaks again:

"Isn't that ironic? A creature like that hiding from us. Weaklings that we are..." He chuckles again...bitterly. "I have never felt weak before. Not until he came."

The deep voice replies: "You're afraid of him, aren't you?"

"Yes. Always."

The camera then shows us what the bald man is holding. It's the MOS S shield drawn in blood on a small plank of wood.

"They wrote it in their blood. So desperate for their calls for help to be answered and it was all they had...they drew his symbol in their blood so he would know which building they waited in...for him to find them and take them away from the ones responsible for that same blood. Can you imagine such a thing? Has anyone every done such a thing for you..."

"Maybe." Still unamused.

A small laugh. "Well, he doesn't even need their symbols, does he? He can find them easily. He can see everyone...like a God. And yet...they offer him the kind of love that's written in blood. Many years...I have tried to earn such a thing...and he has it in two short years..."

"I know. He told me the same story."

"It's unnatural, you know. Such devotion."

"I know."

"You're afraid of him too."

Silence follows. The bald man lays the plank of wood with the symbol on the desk and stares towards the other voice.

"You are. We all are. Secretly. Brave men...all afraid of the thing we cannot stop or become. We don't live anymore. We do what he says, Mr. Wayne. And nobody realizes this, but us. Look outside. Look on our very streets and tell me what you see."

"You know what I see."

"Yes! An alien symbol! Those people out there...those weak, ignorant people use an alien symbol in place of a human word..."hope." Why is that, Mr. Wayne? Why do they call out to him instead of their own kind? Instead of me? Instead of you?"

"You know why."

"Because no one can save them but him, isn't that it? Well...I remember the days when our kind pulled ourselves out the abyss and we didn't have to sacrifice half of my city to earn the privilege! Something happened, Mr. Wayne and it must be stopped..." He's interrupted by the other voice:

"I know what happened! You don't think I saw his triumphant introduction?! I saw it all..."

"You saw humanity lose its place as the dominant species on this planet that day, Mr. Wayne! That's what we all saw and no one knows it but us."

"And so we should stop it, shouldn't we?"

"You knew it that day and yet we've allowed it to go on far too long. They need you, Batman. They need us to be what we were before he came."

"I know they do." He sounds resigned and sorrowful.

"He trusts you?"

"Yes"

"Well then, Mr. Wayne. We have a common problem and an obvious solution, don't we? Is that not why you agreed to come here?"

"Of course."

"Then tell me," the bald man gets up from his seat as he says this and extends his hand to the other figure who is now in view and has the distinctive silhouette of bat ears and a long cape illuminated by the city lights, "has there ever been a time when men fought a God and won?"

The batman shakes hands with the bald man and says:

"There will be."

The final shot is the two of them staring off into the city's night skyline through the huge office window.

We never really see the context of this. Is Bruce really with Lex? And if he is, why? What is his relationship to Superman? Is one of them tricking the other? It raises more questions than answers and perhaps would work better for a teaser.

As Hans Zimmer's MOS music starts to play

We see and hear flashes of the Zod and Superman fight from an overhead camera on a computer screen. We see the image suddenly approach rapidly, and the screen grows to include the first camera's source- Wayne Enterprise's satellite. As the satellite is trashed and the first feed falls dead, we pan to another video feed showing a retrospective of the damage and lives lost which is intercut with Lex Luthor giving an interview about how he and Bruce Wayne are rebuilding Metropolis.

The music becomes more frantic and deeper in tone as we pan out from the screens to see they are the top line on a massive computer bank. The largest screen shows Zod's message being analyzed and another shows a review of Lois Lane and Clark Kent. A figure in a chair is shown, but we can't identify him. Suddenly, as the music reaches an exciting crescendo, a swarm of bats flies past.

Cut to black. We hear dialogue from Lois introducing Clark Kent to Bruce Wayne and a brief statement by Lex Luthor about how they're not just rebuilding the city, they're making preparations for when "the alien's done."

We see two glowing eyes in the dark and a barely there silhouette. An explosion of some kind occurs behind him, and we see Batman in his suit and we pull back to see a dark rough top and pull back some more to see Superman with his back to us.

"You don't have to do this."-Superman.

"...yes, I do...Clark."-Batman

Logo. Date. End.
