I like it so far, yes the pace is fast, but we still have an hour and 15 mins left so it might slow down

I think people are just upset because this is a throwback to the more fantasy-oriented superhero movies/shows of the `90s. Nowadays, people want the serious, realistic, Nolan-esque stuff.
I remember people complaining about Batman: The Brave and the Bold being an adaptation of the campy `50-`60s comics and, yet, it turned out to be a popular show when folks gave it a chance.
That's how fanboys are.

"Dammit, I wasted that speech!"
Keith David is definitely the scene stealer of this show.
The main actor has terrible quip delivery.
The main actor is where this show is going to sink. You can have terrible material, but a great lead can elevate to something entertaining. This guy is tremendously bland.
The character even has a mask in the comic and yet they leave it out on the actual costume. They can only come up with so many excuses as to why people won't see his face. Other than that though this show is somewhat enjoyable. And now the nemesis already knows? MAJOR pacing problems with this show. I love a show that can cut to the point with it's plot lines. But in the same damn episode?
Well, it's not like show's with bland leads haven't been able to go on with a strong supporting crew, and the supporting cast is certainly not that bad at all. See Smallville.
