The Cape

For the love of...why didnt they just make it a magic cape? Theres no way a "spider-silk" cape could make Vince disappear and do the things he did with it. I know it supposed to be suspension of disblief but..if you're using the "realistic" angle, which the show is supposedly trying to do, then make it freakin realistic. If it was a magic cape then fine, we have no problem, i wouldnt complain, the cape could shoot fireballs for all i care.

The whole disappearing smoke thing is him working other carnival tricks into his arsenal that Max and the other carnies have taught him.

Also every time Keith David is on screen all I could think about was him asking how Ben Stiller "got the frank stuck below the beans" LOL

I enjoyed the show. I felt like it had the right balance of cheese with drama. The show's special effects looked great, too. There were funny moments, like the end of the pilot, with the store clerk.

I'm happy they gave him a mask by the second hour, to. The hood alone wasn't going to be enough.

I'm down for more, expecting it to get better. But I was happy with what I saw.

And I thought Batman had a horrible first day on the job. The Cape's first day on the job went down about as horribly as any rookie hero could imagine.

So, are you all saying I shouldn't even bother watching The Cape because it's horrible and will likely get canned?

the reviews seem to be all over the place....just don't be surprised if you get into it and it doesn't last long

yeah well it went up against Desperate House Wives and Family Guy

Kinda takes you back and reminds you of when The Flash was put up against the Cosby show and the Simpson's huh? (Only the Flash way better :woot:)

i dont know...he never fought any supervillains until towards the end

I thought it was all right. Neat hero, interesting villains (Though I'd like to see more of Scales), the carnies were awesome, and Glau makes for a good supporting character as usual, though the son was a bit annoying. Makes for a good successor to Heroes.
I doubt it'll be around for long, but then again, I and others felt the exact same way about Heroes when it first premiered.
I concur with the others here who note that the biggest problem with 'No Ordinary Family' is that it's too much of a family drama and not enough of an action show.

I kept remembering his voice role as Dr. Facilier in 'The Princess and the Frog.'

Episode was even better than I expected!,We'll see how rest of the season goes though,Even with good-great episdoes.....IF ratings remain the same and since it's NBC,I fully expect to last 2 seasons at most.

Its real test will be how well it does in the regular time slot of Mondays at 9 and how well the ratings hold up.

actually I like the hero...he has more in common with pulp heroes than superheroes...I had an idea like this a while back

i liked the show alot it was pretty cool i thought the carnies were awesome and Summer looked incredibility hot. The guy who played chess is always awesome and i know he is going to became one of my favorite villains.

Pretty much sums up how I feel. Although I like No Ordinary Family, it's nice to actually see some ass getting kicked.

They need to put some more money into the special effects, especially the way the cape looks when grabbing things. Although I am digging the way the disappearing illusion looks.

Chuck's at 8.

Chuck/Cape is a pretty good lineup.

lol, I remember those days. That had to be the dumbest move putting it up against those shows.

Finally got to watch the episodes and I rather enjoyed them. Sure they weren't amazing in any way but they weren't bad either. I'll stick wth this until it gets cancelled and ***** that it should have lasted longer.
