He sure did.

Now I'm in the mood for some grapes.

Happy to hear about Black Mask, I always wanted him on the big screen. He is too low-tier for Batman solo, but he'd be perfect fit for either GCS or "Nightwing".

:funny:

Agreed. Let's just hope that Ayer gets him right.

That's Selina's sister (Maggie Kyle), by the way. How many origin stories does this character have??

Morena Baccarin or at least an actress with a Southern Europe look, since Catwoman has Italian heritage.

Indeed. We can only hope. Though, I'd say that Sionis leaves more room for reinterpretation than most of other Batman villains.

I don't know much about Maggie, I know that she was driven insane after the ordeal Black Mask put her through and becomes a nun later. Or was she a nun before it all? In any case, she is a pretty new character to Batman mythos, being first introduced in the early '90s (I believe). She appeared in GCS comics, so it wouldn't surprise me if they introduce the character in GCS.

Selina doesn't have to be Italian unless they connect her to Carmine Falcone/Rex Calabrese, assuming those gents even exist in the current DC Films universe.

If the studio opts to base her look on the comics, any brunette white woman with a fair, medium or olive complexion would suffice.

Fun fact: Adam Hughes used Audrey Hepburn as the inspiration for his take on the character.

Matter of fact, if they do introduce Maggie Kyle and have her look like she does in comics, it seems more likely they'll cast Selina with an actress of fairer complexion.

This is true. And to be fair, Ayer's demonstrated some skill in bringing mob bosses of Roman's ilk to life on the big screen. I'll give him that. Enough with the tats, though!

Yeah, she's a pretty obscure Ed Brubaker creation. I honestly don't think we'll ever see her again unless said writer returns to DC.

I completely forgot about the nun thing.

Not tattoos, he'll have sadist carved on his forehead. :o

I believe she was a legitimate nun, but after what Black Mask did to her she became a crazy, killing nun, calling herself Sister Zero. You've got to love the idea of a crazy, killing nun. But yeah, I think we saw the last of the character. It would be interesting if they place her in this cinematic universe though, giving Selina a sister she never had before in live action.

I had no idea. I guess being force-fed your husband's eyeball will do that to you. On a related note, I bet Brubaker was inspired by Sister Maggie aka Daredevil's mom.

Yeah, there's literally a plethora of material they can draw from with regard to Catwoman. It's hard to believe she's been around for close to 80 years.

Indeed. Hopefully they'll avoid some sillier aspects, like that cat head mask, though. :hehe:

She is an actor in the 'Black Sails' series.
Not a bad talent & easy on the eyes.

No thanks. I was hoping they'll kill off her character as soon as she mouthed that dreadful fake accent.

She's got all that's required to play Catwoman, she can be Ivy too.

She's perfection what I would give

Y'all are just thinking with your bellends; not that I blame you, Brook is fine af but she can't act worth a damn.

How in the seven hells I haven't thought of my godess Morena for Catwoman??!! :hmr::hmr::hmr:

For years I wanted her for Wonder Woman, but maaaaan, I think she's my new number 1 pick for Selina :ilv::ilv::ilv:

Ya'll realize she is not only on Gotham but also is in the Fox-Marvel Universe in Deadpool series already.

I wouldn't call her crap. She's OK. She's good for Deadpool. Not for Catwoman.

I don't see WB going from people like Pfeiffer and Hatheway to Baccarin. Yeah, Berry's Catwoman was terrible, but even she had received widespread critical acclaim on more than one occasion.

I'm thinking they'll go with someone older to avoid the ageism backlash and someone who is well-regarded. Thandie Newton is my best guess, especially given her good working relationship with WB.

Thandie looks feline, which is a plus.

Unfortunately she looks like an emaciated cat so that completely rules her out of contention in by book.

WB to avoid backlash?

I get what you're saying, but I can't think of any casting backlash. I'm not talking about the, "This person can't act the part." sorta backlash. But I haven't once seen an article where they've been accused of things like whitewashing or ageism. They just seem to really go for diversity.

BN's guide to Catwoman is being able to remove an item of clothing. :funny:
