I feel like people have been suggesting Theron for Catwoman almost as long as I have been alive. I suppose she took the baton from Angelina Jolie some time in the mid 00's.

So now with the news that Affleck may be out as The Batman most likely there will be a younger Batman thus no longer requiring a granny be cast as Catwoman. In fact it would now be weird if a granny is cast as Catwoman.
So the list probably now narrows down to someone late 20s to mid 30s.

First of all, even if they replace Affleck, they surely won't go for a younger Batman all of a sudden, ignoring the character's arc so far. Second, woman in her late thirties and forties is far from being a "granny".

I'd rather to see Selina Kyle with dark short hair this time.
We haven't seen this version before, I was hoping for Anne Hathaway using short hair in TDKR.

Eva Green is my first choice for Catwoman and she looks really nice with short hair:

Lena Headey would look very nice as well.

And a Catwoman with dark short hair wearing an outfit like this would be even better to me.

As for the costume, I have no problem with it, but nor do I love it.

As much as I adore Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, I'd prefer to see a dark-haired actress in the part this time, maybe someone who is less what I'd describe as 'WASPy' or 'white bread' in the role than either Pfeiffer or Anne 'Princess Diaries' Hathaway. An African-American or Latino actress would be a great way to go.

That said, and bearing in mind age-appropriateness for Affleck, my first choices would still be Angelina Jolie and Olivia Wilde. Olga Kurylenko would also be a fine choice if they decided to go down the Eastern European 'Miss Kitka' route. Charlize Theron would kick ass in the part, but I'd rather reserve her for a fair-haired comic-book character (like say the Enchantress in another Thor movie, or maybe The Cheetah in a Wonder Woman sequel).

But whoever is cast as Catwoman, it has to be an actress who can truly convince as a hard knocks life/walking on the wild side type.

Hopefully, with Reeves writing the script from scratch, Selina will end up being in "The Batman" rather than GCS. It would be much better if he is the one to tackle the character, instead of Ayer.

I watched Butter last night and my god Olivia Wilde really looks like Selina. She is on the younger side however. I also really liked Wonder Juli's suggestion of Lana Parrilla it'd never happen but she'd absolutely kill the role.

Hair grows. Miley Cyrus and Kaley Cuoco had short hair and now they have gone back to long hair. No reason Selina can't let her hair grow out again.

I meant Reeves getting to cast the character first, which would leave Ayer no choice but to use the same actress in GCS, as he certainly can't recast in the shared universe. Otherwise, we might end up with someone like... well, Eiza Gonzalez.

Luckily, GCS film was nowhere to be seen at SDCC panel, so "The Batman" will likely come first.

What about Ana de la Reguera? She's older (40), but doesn't look it. She can do a Catwoman type role, I saw her as one on the Blacklist. She has the look and the raven hair people want.
