the church I went to as a kid burned down this morning.

I haven't been to that church in at least 10 years, but it makes me sad. I remember walking out behind the church in the woods as a kid and seeing "weird plants" growing there if you know what I mean.

I go to my church a handful of times throughout the year but I love how nothing changes no matter how long I'm gone. The same priest is giving Sunday masses as when I was a kid and I'm 23 now. The familiarity is very comforting to return to whenever I need it.

I go to a different church now, but it's sad to see a place you grew up in just suddenly gone.

I actually moved to the neighboring city but I still go to my old church. It wouldn't be the same joining a new one. I don't mind the longer drive.

That's too bad man.

But hey, maybe it'll get reincarnated as a pub?
