Reasons why I’m worried about this:

-His followers are dumber due to being less educated and more susceptible to manipulation.

-There is already a very unified brand of “Christians” under Trump just raring to exercise their “God-given” duties and impose their beliefs on others, and the seeds for discriminating and demonizing other religions to make way for Trump’s one true “faith“ started being sown decades ago, especially after 9/11, when they really started to become even more radicalized

-His reach is greater and wider because of people like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg controlling the narrative through social media with pervasive disinformation and “facts“, making it harder for people like us to challenge and dissuade people’s opinions.

-He has tons of connections and people in his pocket too bribe/incentivize to go along with him and/or eliminate.

It’s a different world, and we have access to a lot of things that people that did not have back then. Trump not only has access to resources and connections Hitler didn’t have, he’s also much more unpredictable, which makes him significantly more dangerous. We have also become more conditioned to be content and comfortable with the status quo over pushing back and/or have become resigned to nothing we do seeming to matter, and the ones that do resist just don’t have the numbers to be able to initiate any real change.

It’s only been a little over two weeks. I’m exhausted.
