Perhaps.Um... aren't most versions of Lex a villainous ******* before Superman shows up?
It hits very close to home...until they all get marriedI still like Big Bang Theory. I had no idea how many nerds utterly despised it until a year or two ago lol.
As opposed to the 5 pages of whining around here about Supermans eyes?I don't know.
I like it as a sitcom, but I never could identify with the characters (which didn't make them any less fun), and also am not a fan of the way it brought "nerdiness" into mainstream. And the way it did.
And that Raiders bit is a good example of that.
I find it dumb that people just repeat it and take It as a valid criticism of the movie's writing, when it's just a whiny nerd nitpick.
I know enough engineers to know that is very much like how they actNever been able to get into it.
I had af friend who kept buying me, BBT DVD box sets. I never responded that well to
It.
To me, BBT isn’t nerd culture, Just an approximation of it.
Yeah, and I didn't participate in any of that. For good reason. I find it dumb and pointless. As opposed to the 5 pages of whining around here about Supermans eyes? This is what we do

Not the Indiana Jones one...but it is a totally valid criticism of the plot. If the film came out now it would get roasted for it.
Welcome to fandom discourse.Yeah, and I didn't participate in any of that. For good reason. I find it dumb and pointless.
Except it's not. It's a very limited view of what a character is "supposed to do" in a movie.

Really and what happens when they open it? They look, they die and the Ark is safe.
And it was better off in the Well of Souls. That is where the Ark wanted to be
Indy is a great character, but he is nothing but a feather blowing in the wind and if he never goes on the quest the Nazis will lose![]()

I also wonder how exactly Indy knew that it would be safe for him and Marian to open their eyes. Like, I can accept that he knew opening the Ark would kill all the people who looked at it. But like, how did he know that the lid would autonomously reattach itself and make it safe for them to look? And even if he did know that would happen, how he did he know WHEN it would happen?
I’m just picturing Indy being a real scumbag, testing the waters and telling Marian it’s safe to open her eyes (while keeping his shut) just in case the Ark hasn’t closed back up yet.
Is it your contention that critics wouldn't attack the film now? I mean it's possible but not likely.Yeah, and I didn't participate in any of that. For good reason. I find it dumb and pointless.

Yes.Is it your contention that critics wouldn't attack the film now? I mean it's possible but not likely.
*reads tired posts continuing blaming DCEU’s bad reception, failure and downfall squarely on company and not the director who started it in the first place*

Yeah but we arent talking about Di$neyYes.
I've seen lesser films be praised by today's critics.
That's a parody account, man.Another report of a supposed negative test screen doing the rounds.
This one is from Culture freak (or something similar) and is tagging Jeff Sneider at Variety.
I don't buy it & hate that certain sections of fandom aren't even willing to give this a chance.

I’m sure that fandom will have a completely normal reaction to this interaction.
