This is the perfect recipe for a bootleg, just like in the good old days... :don'tcry:
I miss those days! Cam trailer bootlegs just hit different. :hrt:

But yeah if this sneak peek is an IMAX thing, then it’s definitely not gonna be officially online for a while. Hopefully they’re presenting that AND a new trailer at CinemaCon so they can at least share the trailer with us plebs lol.

I have fond memories of scouring the interwebs in 2012, looking for the Man of Steel Comic-Con trailer. When I finally found it, it was a blurry mess, but 17 year old me didn't care 😅.

Yeah I’ve got it saved to a hard drive somewhere because I’ll always miss the original Bane voice.
I'm pretty sure I still have it too! :funny:
The original voice has always seemed better to me (except the "of course", I love the final being so over-the-top ahah), but what bothers me most is the way they've cut certain lines in the final version...

How can this be already... 13 years ago? :anguish:

Speaking of old memories and marketing, it's interesting how, between 2005 and 2010, we had several ARGs promoting everything from music (NIN's Year Zero) to movies (The Dark Knight), yet, despite the increasing presence of Internet and social media in our everyday lives, there simply isn't much of this kind of creative, interactive marketing.
At least, I haven't seen anything, save for The Batman which did a bit with its Riddler site unlocking some files and the Joker scene.

Superman with his Fortress of Solitude or Luthor with his probable research on him could be a good pretext for creating this sort of thing (but please, no files on league members with a little logo work and all... :o).

Yeah, Slott has literally stripped certain characters of everything that defines them. And he's completely unreceptive to criticism. If you don't like Bendis, brace yourself. I've heard people say he's like Bendis on steroids!

Bendis on steroids??!!!:astonish::mindblown: You know, I'll admit something to you all, I managed to read almost every issue from the main Superman titles since Action#1, which amounted to more than 2500 issues (I actually lost count) and the whole thing took me 20 years and during that period I only dropped the books twice, the first was during the whole Superman red/blue nonsense (the electric ones not the silver age one) and the 2nd was during the Bendis run. I can say with certainty that about 97% of all Superman comics are absolute rubbish but I kept at it because I just love the character *that* much, so imagine how bad Bendis's run must've been for me to drop the books and you saying that it's "Bendis on steroids" is somewhat hard to fathom, the closest thing I can think of is either Frank Miller or Zack "edge lord" Snyder and if that's the case then g*d d**m and holy f**k!!!

The good news is that in recent times with Kennedy Johnson (I really miss him on Action), Williamson and recently with Waid, the Superman titles have never been better. Heck even Absolute Superman, which initially looked to me like another mopey, emo, Snyder-esque Superman has been surprisingly good. Add that to My Adventures and we have ourselves some good Superman stories in print and TV and if James Gunn delivers then it will be the trifecta and I really won't care what Slot does or undoes with Superman.

Before Bendis, we had Tomasi, who was also amazing. And post-Bendis has been a treasure, especially with PKJ and then Waid.

The most impressive feat that DC writers did was erasing everything that Bendis did.

This is why I like Elseworlds, One-shots, and contained stories the most in the comic book world and with my readings. I am in the process of going through hundreds of my comic book collection to donate and having trouble kind of setting myself up as a collector to move forward on how I will buy (probably Absolute and Omnibuses while picking up issue 1's of floppies). But the constant reboots, retcons, and storylines that never seem to end in a satisfying way especially when books are $5 a pop with 20 pages with adds..curating is the way to go.

According to Fandango's metrics, Superman is coming in at #4 most anticipated film out of all the summer releases. Hopefully the official upcoming trailer will slap and climb those ranks. :legacy:The top spot at the moment belongs to Jurassic World.

Wasn’t Bendis the one who revealed Clark’s identity to the world?

I am the exact opposite.lol. I really have trouble getting into most Elseworlds because they aren’t “real” in terms of the story. It’s a mental gap to be sure for me.

As to the price, this is why these days 99% of what I read is on DC Universe Infinite. I only get the physical copies if I’ve read it already and it’s something I really am wanting to collect.

I just sense no hype for JW. And F4 seems kinda lukewarm at most right now... but this is just from my perspective. I guess Fandango has some sort of stats to back it up lol.

That's fair. I view Elseworlds as its own canon since those stories are contained with a beginning, middle, and end (acting as its own head canon with no breakage in storyline, retcons, or reboots). Following the main continuity titles with constant crossovers, big event stories that lead into one and then the other without a payoff that eventually resets to new #1's has left me in burnout city. I tend to enjoy One-shots and loose canon where the reader can decide the order before the timeline gets messy.

Well remember Captain America BNW was the number 1 most anticipated movie for the year and Superman was #9 with Fandingo. Their voters are more about movie star power. Harrison Ford, Scarlett, Pascal, Ali, Cruise, ect…..

I will agree that I love a good one-shot. Let’s face it, some of the all time greatest stories have been one shots like Anatomy Lesson, For the Man Who has Everything, or my favorite Batman story, Night of the Stalker.

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more. Nowadays, I throw everything out the window to be honest and just want to enjoy a good story or book that does the trick without all the hoopla involved..with cool cover art and interiors of course. 🔥

Here's the entire list released. Fandango poll'ed over 3,500+ ticket buyers for the newest units. This is one helluva summer slate overall. Could be the beginning of huge BO returns for cinemas. These lists, at the end of the day, won't always be accurate when it's go-time.
