Harvey Dent's "No" in the Italian trailer made me laugh. In fact the "No" in all of the these trailers is quite funny. Im sure they could have kept Eckhart's "No". After all, they did keep Ledger's laugh.

His voice isn't even bad, it's Christian Bale's and Heath Ledger's Italian voices that worry me... and many other fans and non-fans.

P.S.: To all fans who living in Germany, France and Spain - on a scale from 1 to 10, how's the hype for TDK currently in your country? I'm gonna keep the first post updated!

And here's the quebec version http://www.cinoche.com/trailers/4075/5138

As a swiss speaking french, let me tell you that i find both quebec and french versions awful :woot:, but it doesn't matter, i always see movies in original version with french subtitles.

So the Quebec version is different than the French version? Why that? Is there a difference in the language / pronounciation?

Awww, Joker's voice in quebecker trailer is a bit better than in the french one, but his laugh is a tragedy. :waa:

BTW Something's wrong with the translation, instead of "This city deserves a better class of criminal" he says "Cette ville mérite une meilleure classe de criminels", which means "This city deserves a better school of criminals"

Sometimes they change things to fit the lip movements better. Anyway, I really like the German version. Anyone else find the Italian voice of Heath Ledger sounding too "old"?

French and quebec are actually quite different, the accent is different and there is all kind of different expressions between the two languages. We can understand each other, but there is some specific expression that as a french speaking i won't be able to understand. There is even some words that are huge different meanings, for example "les gosses" means the kids in french and .......the balls in quebec :woot: (I SWEAR IT'S TRUE, but for this specific example i'm talking about the speaking word, but i'm not 100% sure they have the same spelling) but in movies, the quebec actors who dubbed doesn't have quebec accent, except they might pronounce names
with canadian accent (in an english way then) rather then the french accent.

Interesting, thanks!

This may become the most intelligent and civil topic of the SHH! Forums! :D

No i think it's correct, "classe", in french anyway (not sure about quebec), has several meaning, one of them is actually school :woot:, but it's also means class as in english.

By the way, if you CLICK HERE and sign the petition you would do many Italian fans a favor, as they didn't even hire Christian Bale's usual Italian dubber, but a "hip actor"; thanks!

Yes I know that, I am French... :yay:

What I mean is there's a misunderstanding about the word "class" here, in this trailer the Joker talks about a better "category" and not a better "lesson".

Wow, after listening to all those voice overs, I'm thankfull I don't have to sit through a movie I've been waiting to see for three years only to have some *****'s mess it up.

TDK is being released July 30, according to allocine.fr!

The quebec version is funny as hell..........amazingly hilarious !:hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:

well....if I'm reffering to the allocine boards about the movie (which are pretty much as crazy as the SHH ones...I know it I'm a freak there too)) I'd say it's a 10/10 for the TDK hype !:woot::woot::woot:

I'll take a train from Paris to London to watch this movie in its English version. :whatever:

after watching these trailers it occurs to me, for all you esl people im glad i can enjoy the movie as it was meant to be with the actors original voices. does it take away from the film at all??? i personally think all the dubs are horrible and ruin the film, but then again i dont understand them so tell me guys, is it the same as me watching or english, or is it different for yyou guys..

It depends. Personally, I'm used to the dubbing as, I guess, many other Europeans. If it's done well, it doesn't take away from the film. But the problem, at least in Italy, is that they've chose some horrible voice-actors for Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, instead of hiring their "official" voices - that's Warner for ya!

Christian Bale's voice in Batman Begins in TDK is horrible. Instead of hiring the voice-actor who usually dubs Bale, they've got a "hip Italian actor", who was fresh off a hit in Italy, in 2005. He had never dubbed before and, well, he sucked.

The guy who dubs Heath Ledger is a great voice-actor, but I just don't think he fits. He dubs Johnny Depp here in Italy, and I think that Ledger's usual dubber, who's great aswell, and is the Italian guy in that horrible ship-wreck Swept Away (with Madonna), would've been a much better fit.

There's really nothing negative to say about the rest of the cast, or the 1989 - 1997 Batman films, for example. Bad luck, I guess.

I think that this whole dubbing stuff is like translating a book. If it's done well, there's no problem, if not - well, you just f'ed up a great book!

Well, judging from the Italian forums the hype is 10/10, aswell, but I meant, outside of the Internet and stuff, how's the hype? Are there posters and stuff around, TV Spots? Is there some talk about TDK?
