I hope that we will know soon the truth about the second female lead casting..

Not to change the subject...but this just showed up in my inbox. From the BOF boards someone said:

Think he's referring to Talia or Winslet?
I would say Talia. The poster's wishes rest primarily on the presumption Talia is in. Jett's tone would suggest it is moot as 'she' will not be in. So Talia.

Thank you .... Jett?

Yeah that makes more sense. I think Talia is almost a given at this point, especially with Cotillard being close to getting cast.

Oh God, I hope Talia isnt in this, you know "you killed my father and now I will kill you story. We don't need that in a Batman movie. Plus We have Catwoman here I rather see Batman/Bruce Catwoman/Selina relationship been told in TDKR.

O_o

Why... why um... are we upset about the character or the actress here?

As long as Bat's doesn't knock her up I'm pretty sure it's a win-win...

- Jow

It has to be Cottilard as Talia..... please? :woot:

For what it's worth, I think Jett must mean that Talia isn't in it.

The movie, as a fictional entity in a linguistic sense, already exists, so it can take the present tense. The story has already been written, Talia isn't in it.

It would be impossible to say that an actress wasn't in TDKR at this stage without referring to the finished article, and therefore using the future tense: "she won't be in it, she isn't going to be in it".

O_O

you guys wrinkle my brain sometimes, i swear to God.

No solid sources today to put an end to debates about Talia being in it or not?:o

Please? :o: :D ;)

The only reason I think Talia is in the movie is because Collider and The Hollywood Reporter both mentioned her as a possible character. Then Cotillard is confirmed to be "in talks"...it just seems likely to me.

i'm very anxious to batman begins 2 as well:doh:
The League of Shadows Strikes Back!

if Talia is casted then this could possibly make catwoman and bane not that important in this film because of her presence..its funny as well because Bane and Catwoman are at least known by the common fan while most people wont even give a damn about talias revenge...it would be dissapointing if Bane is reduced to a bodyguard status for talia...

Ok, i see where you coming from, but i don't agree. but whatever, if she is in it, so be it. just be it official.

precisely why she shouldn't be in the movie !!!!:woot:

That's one of the reason i don't believe it

- refrain to debate about it. :o:woot:

Anjow, those sides had nothing to do with TDKR. Papsidera was the casting director, and they were for the other film he was working on, The Numbers Station, about a black ops agent in training, and terrorist attacks.

I saw the sides, a mentor is training his protege, scientists are building nuclear missiles, and people are saying **** in every other line of dialogue. Take our word for it, and don't waste your time tracking down these sides--they aren't related to TDKR.
I understand your being curious, but you'd just be wasting your time.

Don't want Talia in this movie and I'm not expecting her to be in it, either. Nolan already has more than enough interesting story material with Bane, Catwoman, and Batman on the run from the police. Talia would just be unnecessary. And before someone gives me the tired, "OMGZ, Nolan can do multiple villains, d00d!!!" Yes, but that doesn't mean that he should just for the sake of doing so. This is a character that's going to seem tacked on no matter what direction she's taken in.

or ya know..... give someone for Catwoman to actually fight hand to hand with...... and make things completley grey for bruce to choose which path his love life will go.

Rachel was his "true good" path. And that was killed.

Now he would have to choose between the grey of catwoman's beliefs and the grey of Talia's beliefs which would sway him back to question his decision of going against Ras.

After everything that happened in TDK - it's fair to say that Bruce might be thinking "Damn..... I f***** up."

There are so many reasons Talia should be in the movie it's not even arguable.

The only reason I would go against it is because it would come off as another chick holding Bane's leash. But alas I...

Honestly - Talia should/should not be in the movie should really just be a statement made after we've either read an actual entire script or seen the movie.

None of us know the full plot or how this is gonna work or HOW she's done in the movie (rimshot) - so it's really unfair to vote one way or the other.

I think if both Talia and Bane are in TDKR, he's going to double cross her.

Of course I cannot base my dislike of Talia on her possible film appearance for the reasons you stated but I can state my dislike for the character which is presented in the original text (i.e the comics) in which she is a very poor character that hardly works without her father.
