Yeah, my post applies for Hardy as well. He's not a huge name as of yet. Granted, he has a bunch of films coming up, and you can bet Bane is gonna help in that department. I think the issue is that there is definitely a distinction between a good actor and a big name. Even Bale pales in comparison to the Depps and Pitts and Clooneys, strictly in terms of 'celebrity status.' Of course, his shiny new Oscar has certainly shifted things a bit. Anyhow, the point is that I think all three (Hardy, JGL and Cotillard) are wonderful actors, but that doesn't mean I overstate their selling power. If you told the mass general audience that those three are going to be in Rises, I think the most common response would be "Who?" But that's not really a big issue, especially with the hype for this thing through the roof.

Oh yea I think they will be come bigger with this film as well. But yea they are not huge yet.

That's not an issue actually. Someone told me that Mr. Thau is making a CGI Marion to play a live action Robin. She won't fully appear until the scene where the villains rule Gotham, which is in the third act, so Nolan is saving some money on effects.
