Ok I guess the other thread was closed too? I think it's best to keep BOF news out of this thread, that way Jett's name isn't brought up. The latest rumors are that Hugo Strange is in the film, and that it may be inspired by "Prey".

Discuss!

This thread is for news on the next Batman movie....it's not for complaining about other sites.

If Strange is the villain and the story is based on Prey, I hope we get a scene like the one where he's hitting on a scantily clad female mannequin and has put a Batman mask on her head. :oldrazz: That kinda thing doesn't seem like Nolan's style, but I would love it. It would help to show just how nuts the guy really is.

What if they draw some story elements from Strange Apparitions? For exemple, I would love it if Strange attempts to auction Batman's secret identity to the mob.

Could mean we have a better chance of seeing Rupert Thorne as the new mob character.

Wouldn't mind seeing Thorne. Not too big on Strange selling Batman's identity, though. Seems too similar to the Coleman Reese subplot in TDK. I guess Strange could find out the identity from Reese, though.

DUDES! Haven't you learned by now!? Trashing other sites is NOT allowed.... unless it's Deadline Hollywood, and it's the mods doing it! :cmad::cmad::cmad:

What the hell is happening with these Info Threads folks? Some of you are ruining it for the rest of us.

I think the key is, as CrissaMan suggested in the opening post of this thread, just not to post anything from Batman-On-Film. I believe most of us were making a concentrated effort to steer away from the Jett-bashing in the last thread, and just focus on posting news. But the problem was that every "news update" from BOF was in fact an extended diatribe bashing Batman-News which only served to reheat the tensions.

So if Jett and Batman-on-Film is so worthless and so lacking in credibility as a news source, just don't post anything from there. Look for news elsewhere, and discuss the possibilities of the movie rather than the shortcomings of his site.

The less said about that, the better. Ya don't wanna drag this thread back into the territory that got the other one closed in the first place.

SO... how many minutes of screen time do you guys think Egghead will have in this movie? :awesome:

What difference does it make where news comes from? The whole point of theses threads were discussion of information, true or false.

I agree. But apparently posting news from that particular source cannot be done without everyone talking about how false it is, which in turn is apparently unacceptable levels of site bashing. It beats me how calling a non-story a non-story is enough to get a thread closed, but that's the mods' judgement call. And so I think to avoid entering risky, thread-closing territory in the future we should just make any references to or links from that site off-limits, barring some major scoop in the future.

Why are the mods protecting Jett? I steered clear of SHH for the longest time because of all of the fun he had poked at this site. As usual, he was wrong.

Why are the mods protecting Jett?

We aren't protecting anyone....we are not supporting bashing other sites. Is that really so hard to understand?

All the mods had to do was say "back on topic" instead of closing the whole thread...but hey, guess it doesn't really matter.

Anyway Caine has confirmed, "Script in January, shoot in May, finish in November.”

Was TDK's shoot that long as well?

Could a shorter shoot time mean they are using more sound stages? (c'mon batcave and narrows!)

Didn't the prologue for TDK shoot in April, and then the rest of the film in May? I'm pretty sure that's right.

So it's gonna be about on par with TDK. Cool.

They did shoot the prologue in Chicago during April and came back in June. Don't think they shot anything anywhere during May. Anyone know about what they did in May?

The title of this thread is awesome. :D

Yeah. They went to the UK and shot there until they came back to Chicago in June.

That probably means that the running time of the film will be similar to TDK's (and Batman Begins for that matter).
