This thread is for all discussion related to the trailer for The dark Knight rises.

The trailer is attached to Game of shadows, I'm just hoping thats worldwide, I say worldwide, i mean the UK.

Only thing I dont really like in the trailer is the way Caine delivers his line. Is it just me or was that not really that great of and acting he does there... ?

Had this great couple of paragraphs written then the thread was closed! Bahhh! Regardless the trailer looks really good.

1,000 posts within a twelve hour period? Jesus...... only on the Bat-boards.

I hope this one takes the cake!... The Nolans so deserves it! Every one in the cast even without blinking says that "Rises" is without a doubt the best one of them all, and that it has Oscar written all over it... If Jackson was honored for the whole package with "Return of the King", then Nolan is definitely up next!

A lot of Caine's lines are spotty. We'll see though. I actually loved that whole line just not the delivery.

I actually really liked it. It almost sounds like he's choking up a bit.

Spike awards? I honestly don't even know what channel those are on. Seems like a narrowed census if I've ever seen one. I do recall GL being hotly anticipated by them only to suffer from lack of audience familiarity with the property among other things.

The Spike Awards were on Spike.

Yes, the Green Lantern won the award last year... so did The Dark Knight and Inception.

Either way you miss my point. Spidey and Avengers don't have to beat or even do Bat like numbers. They just have to be very present. In a way no one was present when TDK was waltzing to BO glory. And like I said there are a bunch of films that have a solid shot at being present next year.

2008 had The Incredible Hulk, Ironman, and The Dark Knight.

2012 will have The Amazing Spiderman, The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.

Lastly Cap and Thor were both forgettable, how much you wanna bet Avengers will be a different sort of beast. Even Bay would have to worry about that messing with his numbers.

Eh, not too confident anymore. The recent trailer really defused my anticipation for The Avengers. It appeared a bit too generic.

Don't blame the fanatics. Jokers was captivating. Batman should be too. For some reason they go out of their way to make him not. Like I said before I'd love to see the interrogation scene filmmed with Bane instead of Bats. Just to let fans know what bats can be under the right direction.

Batman WAS captivating. I do not understand this notion. Bale's performance was top-tier and emotional. The characterization for Bruce Wayne was monumental too.

I've heard good things about Hardy. At the same time I've been hearing a boat load about this voice and how it's distracting from his performance. I only heard one thing about Heath...

It varies in my opinion. Half the board is split. I heard Hardy's lines/dialogue just fine throughout the entire prologue.

A member in here commented that it might have something to do with the theater that people attended for the sneak peeks.

You're right. He looks like he's just rehearsing sometimes. But hes never bad

I see what you mean, but I think its more because he's holding back tears.

If you only heard one thing about Heath then you weren't around when his casting was announced.

Oh boy...

Even in crappy bootleg quality that trailer still collapsed my brain. More excited now to see it up on the big screen than the entire SH2 movie

I just want them to post it on the website so I can watch it in 1080p

That was the first time I saw how hateful the internet would become. How my life was changed...

Don't post much anymore. Trying to get back into it, so I'll keep this short and to the point.

1. I hate Nolan and company. Hate em like I hate that burning sensation.

2. Nolan's ability to get away with butchering characters I grew up with for the sake of realizing his own selfish vision of what he thinks the characters "should be" because you people think he's some sort of revolutionary thinker and therefore deserves a free pass for his genius, SICKENS me to NO end.

3. I hate most of you for not calling him on his ******** when given EVERY opportunity in the world (like literally every 5 minutes in The Dark Knight) like ALL the time.

With all that being said..........That trailer might have just sold me on spending money to see this thing....Even tho, If I didn't know any better, after the first minute and about fifteen seconds of the trailer I'd never be able to recognize this **** as being a film with anything to do with BATMAN. Trailer was THAT well put together. And I saw the bootleg .

P.S. - It is true that Nolan and co. don't appear to be the biggest fans of having a multitude of minorities in their Bat universe, what with all the whitewashing, and complete obliteration of all minority characters (sans Fox) who's roles had any real significance..............That being said, I must protest the idea that Nolan is somehow "pushing his right wing agenda" on us. And that's coming from someone who hates the guys guts. Really hates him.

Humbug,
Ibn

@meee:

This isn't propaganda, and I laugh at your Socialism swipe particularly due to the fact that Conservatives and Republicans trash it on the podium, but embrace it with open arms behind closed doors when it benefits them.

Oh, irony! :o

That football sequence looks like something out of a Nike commercial:

Player turns around: nothing but destruction in his wake. Player smiles wickedly.

CUT TO:

BLACK SCREEN

NARRATOR (V.O.): Leave your competitors in the dust.

NIKE LOGO FADES IN

NARRATOR (V.O.): Nike.

:awesome: Now that's more like it, Mr. ChocolatesBread
