supposedly that's what everyone's saying it is.

the part before bane blows up the football stadium. where the guy walks in and goes " what is that noise ? " or " what does it mean ? " or something and the guy next to him just randomly says " RISE " . that part.
It's clearly Christian Bale!

Repost.

this movie's looking awesome but....

is it just me or do you get the feeling, with the guy next to young ra's al ghul saying " rise " kinda randomly, and bane's " the fire rises " line in the prologue, that maybe like in begins where everyone kept saying " fear " over and over again, they're gonna do the same thing here and say " rise " over and over again ??
This is my only little worry. Heck, I woudln't even be that bothered if the majority of the saying had one context... being Bane's mantra, but then Gordon also describes Bane as an evil that "rises". It's looking to be a little too *wink* *wink* for me.

i nearly forgot about gordon's line too. glad i'm not alone on this one haha.

If "deshi basara" means "rise" than yes, Nolan will be using "rise" quite a bit more frequently than "fear". In fact, a drinking game based on this is suicide.

lmao ! true that :oldrazz:

haha I can see it being all over the movie, specially in that rumored court room with the Scarecrow. "Please Rise, the honorable Jonathan Crane will now preside over the overuse of "Rise" in a Batman film."

Speaking of Scarecrow... I really really hope Cillian has his mask. It would be much more effective IMO if Scarecrow was the judge instead of simply Crane.

also, about the " deshi basara " chant, my friend told me it was a japanese term meaning a disciple has overthrown the king . which does fit perfectly for bane, but i looked it up and couldn't find out if it was true or not

He better, or at least when its time to pass his judgement he should slap it on like David Caruso in CSI.

Jonathan Crane: "The court finds you guilty...
*puts on mask*
Scarecrow: "Of fear!"
YEEEAHHH!!!!!!

I saw the trailer with Sherlock Holmes yesterday, and the thing that you can't see from the bootleg that struck me is the look of fear on Bruce's face during the, "...you have my permission to die." line.

He is looking up and over from his back with that nasty cut on his forehead, and it's a look we've never seen from him in the prior 2 films. The only comparable moment I can think of is when he's sitting in his penthouse after Rachel's death, and the helplessness he feels.

Didn't we hear that the Gordon hospital scene may not make the final cut? I seem to remember that rumor.

i think they want every character to say rise at least once. then at the end theyll do a montage with wacky music and nolan, with a red nose, will say thanks for watching folks.

In Batman Begins it was "Fear"

In The Dark Knight it was "Why So Serious ?"

Now in The Dark Knight Rises it's "Rise"

nah it wasnt why so serious, it was chaos/anarchy. only the joker ever said why so serious, that was his characters mantra, not the films.

Wait, there's a rumour we're getting Judge Scarecrow?!

I think I've figured out what the end scene will be from the trailer - Bruce jumping off a building.

After seeing the trailer in theater...it's not quite as special. It seems to be a trailer created for US, not the general audience. They introduce characters that the audience has no idea who they are. For example, if you haven't followed the movie, you have no idea why Bruce has a cane, who they random lady at the masquerade was or who the dude in the mask was. For us, we knew the story is 8 years later, that was Selina Kyle and that dude was Bane. It's still exciting (especially the montage parts) but it's not really that good of a trailer.

But at least it's better than the awful prologue.

BWAHAHAHA!!!! A bootleg was up for 9 hours and I just caught it before Warner Snooters pulled it BWAHAHAHA!!!

TBH, I honestly dont think it looks as good as TDK :( Football stadiums collapsing and flying batmobiles should make me jump with excitement. But it didn't hit a note for me the way TDK trailer did.
