The Darkness 2

I liked the first one too, especially using the darkness tenticles to eat peoples hearts out of their chests lol

This is great news I also loved the first game and I agree with you that it was overlooked. For me it is on my list of best comic to video game adaptation.
 
I dunno, the game wasn't as cool as the comic. I would have preferred a third person game as far as perfect comic adaptation

I agree, I like the game in a sorta-I-dont-have-anything-else-to-play-right-now kinda way :awesome:. You're right Wolvieboy, third person probably would have worked alot better
 
Well i just think third person would have lent itself to the darkness powers alot better.

Sometimes I would play Protoype and put the whole body armour on and just pretend it was a proper Darkness game :P

well pat as you know I usually do try looking for those things if another poster put something like that up before me but it was taking so long searching for it this time around. i just said screw it. when that happena. It's a hassle. But I'd be happy if a mod would kindly please merge the two. if this is causing trouble.

The demo is out and the game is pretty awesome, I'm really loving the dark cel shaded graphics
 
Alright, played the demo, it was fun. I really haven't followed this game closely. Do you still have like city blocks that you can travel, or is this going to be entirely level based? Loved the first game.
 
Just played the demo myself, really enjoyed it, I was probably gonna pick it up anyway but now I'm definitely sure I'll be getting this game
 
The first one was awesome. Really good story and loved the twist on the FPS mechanic. This one looks like it's taking the Darkness powers to a whole new level, definitely getting it.
 
I played the first 30-40 minutes of the first Darkness for comparison. Even though the cel-shaded look isn't bad, I wish they would have stuck with the dark and grim graphics from the first game. I love the vibe so much more, the sequel looks way too colorful. Also, I hope the game isn't going to be non-stop action. I really enjoyed the slow parts in the first game. Like going to your girlfriend, blowing out the candles on your birthday cake, trying to hell her what a scumbag you are and of course she's so innocent she doesn't believe you. And then you just sit there together on the couch, watching 'How to kill a Mockingbird' for 5-10 minutes. Heck, you could watch the entire Movie if you'd want to.

The first Darkness was really something special. If it's just nothing but carnage through and through, I'll probably wait for a price cut.
