I'll give you that, sir. If the writer & artist are creative enough, it's most certainly possible for a character to pull off a convincing & impressive win

I'm just trying to go by what's been seen thus far without the usage of unnecessary plot devices & the like.

All in all, it's just my opinion though. At the end of the day, both are supreme badass female warriors....I'd actually be more interested in seeing them fight together rather than against each other. Imagine how awesome that would be on screen...Jaimie Alexander AND Zoe Saldana? I'd die. :woot:

Gamora was taught by Thanos. She knows martial arts that Sif probably hasn't even heard of, so i'd give Gamora the skill edge. But yea they are not in the same weight class. Sif is too fast and too strong.

I take it you mean MCU Gamora. Cuz comic book Gamora does. Or did.

Gamora isn't human. So why would she have human level strength speed or agility?

There are many alien species in the MU that are relatively the same strength, speed, and agility levels of humans.

She definitely has superhuman strength and her bones are damn near indestructible.

In the comics, Gamora's power level has varied, but generally I'd say she has maybe class 40-60ish strength, similar durability, and some low level ( non-combat ) regeneration. Maybe some enhanced reflexes, though I don't think there are any good feats to demonstrate it. Which is, amusingly enough, about the same stats as Sif has. So, comic Sif vs comic Gamora? Coin toss. They both are mid tier bricks, they both are extremely skilled warriors, they both wield superhumanly potent swords.

For the movie versions? No idea. We obviously haven't seen Gamora yet, and we don't have a lot of good feats for Sif. If I had to make a guess, I'd say the movie version of Sif would win, but that's based on extrapolating where Sif ranks in brickiness relative to other Asgardians, and guessing how powerful they are likely to make Gamora.

Yeah, Gamora threw Ronan across a mountain in Annihilation, she definitely DOES have super-human strength.

I hope she does in the movies as well personally.

Apparently every race has to have insane levels of strength, speed, stamina, etc. that is far superior to what mere mortals are capable of.

You're not the only one, but I don't like being reminded of her.

To each their own...I've just always thought they have a similar facial structure (mainly the mouth, cheekbones, overall face shape, etc.).

But it's all up to one's perspective I suppose.

I'm so daft, I only just realised Gamora has a different hair colour in the film than in the comics.

I'd actually give Gamora the win. In the 90s, Gamora one-shotted She-Hulk with a kick. She was also at her peak, stated to have strength equal to Iron Man (Roughly Class 70.) Sif has probably class 35 strength.

Eh, those claims vis a vis Sif's strength always struck me as underestimates. If there's a gap in strength, I don't think its actually *that* high.

Regardless, I do tend to think Gamora would win, on superior skill more than anything else.
