Just got finished watching this film again on TV. I remember seeing in in theatres back in 1977 and it's still a joy to watch. I wish a good director and some talent would make a similar type of film in today's times. I guess Into the Blue was a cheeseball attempt at it but it wasn't even 1/100th of the film The Deep was. Great cast with Nolte, Shaw, Gossett, and Bisset.
