Endeavor;
Thinking better, it's true. If they do right, it will be good.
I just say that because in many situations my expectation didn't leave me like, as Batman 3, Avengers 2 and Walking Dead (serie TV - I know, just me don't like this serie).

know, coming back to The Defenders, the cast will be only Jessica, Matt, Luke and Iron Fist?
This was close or can change, add Punisher and Elektra?

Someone told of Ghost Rider, but the serie will be stay expensive, because of the special effects. So, i guess he won't appear.

Well Anderson, the trick is to moderate your expectations. Don't get too far ahead of yourself and just enjoy each part that will build up until you get to the mini series.

We know for sure that the main Defenders will be the 4 that will have their individual series, but we don't know if the team will also be assisted by the other side characters you've mentioned plus several others (Hellcat, Stick, The Chaste, Misty Knight?), perhaps some we havent even heard of yet.

I had a thought, and wasn't sure where to put it, but this seems like a good place.

What if after Luke and Danny's solo seasons, their second seasons are instead made a Heroes for Hire show?

Thats exactly what I'm hoping they'll do.

IMO, next logical step, and it'll free a slot for a new series.

I don't see how it's a logical step when Defenders will be the team. Why have Luke Cage and Iron Fist have a Heroes for Hire when they already have a non-profit Defenders superteam? In the comics, Cage and Fist have long outgrown the Heroes for Hire moniker, and I assume they'll probably won't be 'for hire' heroes in the Netflix shows. If you really think about it, only Jessica Jones fits that Hero for Hire mold because of the nature of her being a PI.

And I'm sorry, but I don't want to lose Luke Cage and Iron Fist solo series so that there'll be a free slot for another character. Cage and Fist have unique stories to tell and they can certaintly stand on their own. There's nothing on the market right now that is similar to them, unlike other characters who I assume you want (probably Punisher or Moon Knight). Punisher no longer has that shock value anymore when so many modern shows and films have beat down the same tropes. And I don't need to see another psychologically affected vigilante in Moon Knight when we have sooooooo much Batman in the media. I would much rather continue to explore Luke Cage and Iron Fist and their respective worlds.

I agree with the above, mostly. I definitely think Iron Fist has enough material for multiple seasons of his own series.

Jessica and Luke are another story. Having just finished Jessica Jones and with, undoubtedly, her and Luke moving closer to their relationship in the comics I think it would make plenty of sense to roll them into one series.

Believe me, we d get second seasons for either off them solo, I wont complain. But I feel like Netflix is the best place right now for us to get a proper Blade in the MCU. And I think a team up show would be cool, Like Defenders but just a duo kinda thing. I'd be just as behind a Luke/Jess series as a H4H one.
I'd just really like some Blade in thi universe.

I think a Luke/JJ series would be Heroes For Hire. It'd make sense, Jessica clearly isn't above charging for her services, to some degree. Plus, didn't they often end up not taking payment in the H4H comics?

Blade would be cool. Be a good place to jumpstart the horror side of the MCU.

Yea, and I really am practially beating my skull against a rock with some peple about the idea of the paranormal in the MCU. Strange will bring magic, but that doesnt always guarantee monsters.

As for H4H, I actually havent read any yet. Though Luke, Danny and Falcon(one more maybe?) were an awesome part of Preist's Panther run

I think horror is the one facet of the MCU that has yet to be even touched on. So many characters like Morbius, Werewolf by Night, and Blade would sing on a format like Netflix. And characters like Ghost Rider deserve chances to not, ya know, suck.

Yes.

I'm begging them to touch a genre within the MU other than sci fi. Its why Im wishing they'd embrace more fantasy/magic stuff in Thor.

Just because Luke and Jessica are becoming closer through a relationship doens't mean they have to be combined into one. They can explore it separetly while still maintaining solo series.

And Luke Cage inhabits a vastly different world than Jessica Jones. We've never gotten a superhero who deals with the urban community in the mainstream, and if you roll Luke up with Jessica, you sacrifice the ability to explore that in its entirety. Luke has more than enough material to maintain multiple seasons of his own series.

Jessica is transferable to his series though, she doesn't have much more material to mine from. I just think it becomes a little redundant when you have a couple with two series devoted to them. Also, I'm trying to reduce crowding so I can justify fantasizing about a Moon Knight series, haha.

I think we should wait and see how the Luke Cage show goes before making that decision.

I think the [blackout]villain[/blackout] for a second season of Jessica Jones is the only real concern.

Presumably, though, the whole thing with IGH is what they'd do. Explore more about the secret of Jessica Jones and about her powers while dealing with a big secret conspiracy angle. That would mine from the early issues of Alias before Killgrave shows up.

Non-spoiler version is this: I think the show set up its own second season pretty well.

^And I think its definitly possible to get a second season before Defenders. But after? I feel it wouldnt be too outlandish for some of the characters who are already close to stick together. Namely Jess and Luke.

But, i'm motivated similarly to McSir. but with Blade lol

After the Defenders is probably 2019. You may be right, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it.

So, what are some of the marketinf schemes you guys hope they use for this. I hope they have like thiese mini one shots on Netflix or Youtube to build hype. First it'll give you a quick SHIELD file or something breakdown on their powers. Then show you in a clip of them in action. For example

Alias: Iron Fist
Real Name: Danny Rand
Info: Iron Fist runs Rand Industries and holds the power of the Iron Fist which makes his fist hard as Iron.

*Cut to scene of him punching bad guys and doing all sorts of incredible Kung Fu moves*

Then end with a cool line of dailougue from his and the Defenders logo. They do this for all the other members of the team up until the release. Then they do a full trailer with all the members assembled and fighting together.

Do you guys think that it's still realistic to hope for this show to debut on Netflix sometime in 2017?

Was this posted before?
When The Hollywood Reporter asked about the possibility of a second season, series creator Melissa Rosenberg replied,
I hope so. There certainly is storytelling wise. The question becomes is there actual time? There are logistics involved, because Defenders has to shoot by a certain time, contractually. Actually, I’m not sure; I’m not at all involved in those conversations, much to my dismay. The first question is whether or not we will even get a second season. The second question is, if so, when? Will it be before The Defenders or after? I’d certainly love it to be before but there are things that play into that — time, availability.

That's interesting to me

The Defenders I don't think will even cameo in the next two Avengers movies. If there are news reports about an assault on Thanos' forces on the ground it'll come from a team made up of Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Falcon, War Machine, Winter Soldier, Sharon Carter, Ant Man, Wasp, Black Panther, Dr. Strange and probably Spider-Man.

I don't think it's impossible, but I don't think it'll happen. I suspect we'll get Iron Fist and maybe a Jessica Jones sequel in 2017 with Defenders in 2018.

There's no reason why they couldn't do potential S2's AFTER The Defenders. I mean they didn't stop making solo films after TA after all. As for the roster, I'm curious to see if it ends up being only DD, Jessica, Luke, and Iron Fist. Or if they include characters like Hellcat, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, etc as well.
