--Montage of Spider-Man saving people interspersed with man-on-the-street reactions (Spider-Man 1)

--Spider-Man carries Mary Jane to the rooftop and swings away after identifying himself as “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” (Spider-Man 1)

--“I’m Batman.” (in both Batman ’89 and Batman Begins)

--The Joker steps out of the shadows and reveals himself to the audience for the first time before killing his boss (Batman ’89)

--Spider-Man vs. Dr. Octopus on the moving train (Spider-Man 2)

--Professor X and Magneto have their very first on-screen exchange of dialogue when they meet outside the Senate chamber (X-Men 1)

--Wolverine and Rogue meet for the first time (X-Men 1)

--Wolverine roams the X-Mansion for the first time and meets the X-Men (X-Men 1)

--The whole climactic sequence at the Alkili Lake base (X-Men 2)

Interrogation scene in TDK. No superhero film before or since has had the same level of tension in it, and it's a scene that encapsulates the Batman and the Joker relationship perfectly.

That's a great scene - one of the first they filmed apparently - and I'd go with that for TDK. Second by a hair for me is the "Things change" exchange between Batman and Penguin in Batman Returns.

When I saw this in IMAX and I got to see the AVENGERS fighting together for the first time, I basically could have died happy.

I think from Superman to I think FF ROTS in 2007? I think we could do more of a manageable list of scenes from 1979 to 2007.

As much as I find Avengers to be kind of cloying in its wittiness, I really like this moment when Loki is talking to the crowd.
