From my experience of the years in TF Forums...everyone used to want the Dinobots...at least Grimlock. But over the last while those thoughts have died off...a lot, I'd assume, is because of how poorly many of the re-issues did (due to over-pricing and limited Toys R Us exclusive release). Only certain characters did exceptionally well as the re-issues because of the TRU exclusive thing.

I don't think that's it all. I posed the question of whether anyone would like Masterpiece versions of the dinobots and there was zero interest in my thread. It seems more fans are more interested in armada or energon figures these days.
