because we need one.

Cape or no cape? Tunic or no tunic?

Post your opinions here

Thats probably my favorite Dr. Strange illustration

How about a magically transforming outfit? Like, the cloak is a crimson colored trench coat for most of the time and transforms when he needs to fly or use certain powers?

Even the woman standing next to Strange there has a look on her face like, "That outfit looks the way garbage smells".

She's actually standing in front of him. She probably escaped from Munchkin City

Definitely with cape. And as cheesy as possible.

Doctor a Strange is a character who I feel Marvel have some freedom to do something new with the costume if they so wish. The cloak is pretty iconic and so I'd keep that if possible, but in terms of his actual attire, it's changed quite a lot over the years, with none of the outfits standing out as particularly remarkable. So I don't think there's too much of an ingrained expectation of what Strange SHOULD be wearing as a costume for their interpretation, whatever they go for, to feel unfaithful.

I think the original is the best for him. The fact that they've experimented but always returned tells me that those experimentations were ill-conceived.

If Thor get's to keep his cape then I don't see why Doctor Strange shouldn't especially as the Cloak of Levitation makes him fly.

I hope they don't give him a trenchcoat

I just don't want him to look silly. A trench coat or duster might not be a bad choice, cinematically. We'll see.

I'd definitely have the cloak of levitation but I'd turn it into a long coat part-way through the film.

If the origin is done in flashback then it would be a cloak in a past and a coat in the present.

I'm guessing he'll be wearing some long coat in his day to day adventuring. All the flamboyant comicbooky looks will be used during his training with the ancient one.

Something like his Ultimate Spider-Man look, sans the stupid haircut.
