The clock tower clock turning 1:21, as Gwen dies. Definite reference to ASM#121

-Spidey humming the spider-man theme also it´s his ringtone
-Jameson, well the text from him
-the "Itsy bitsy Spider" song while electro is in the pilars

In the credits, there's an Avengers-esque montage of 3D models of the Sinister 6 props and we see a mask. I believe it's a Chameleon reference.

Also, I don't know if this is an easter egg per say but Norman looks like he took the Goblin formula to try and cure himself like Harry does later on.

When Harry uncovers the files his father gave him and reads through them, there are a number of villains listed. Venom is definitely there.

They are not easter eggs. Easter eggs are hidden references to those who are familiar with the comics. Everyone knows the 60's Spider-Man theme, it's been used in four of the five Spidey movies. Peter sending photos to Jonah Jameson is just a normal part of the story, we just don't see Jonah yet.

As for the Itsy Bitsy Spider thing...that's just a nursery rhyme, nothing to do with Spider-Man.

Not really sure this counts as an easter egg,but i think that towards the end of the movie, when Spider-man is fighting Electro, he falls and hits the ground pretty hard and he says something similar like in the part where you meet Rhino for the first time in the USM game. Except he says muscles and organs instead spine and ribs. Not 100% sure though.

I thought that was pretty cool.

The Rhino boxer shorts.

Also, it's not an easter egg, but it was nice to see the One World Trade Center in the background in one of the scenes.

Didn't even notice. :wow:

Do you remember any particular scenes?

Goblin's Glider, Ock's Tentacles and Vulture's wings.

EDIT: And Rhino Mech Suit.

Thanks! I thought I read somewhere around here that there was a glimpse of Mysterio too, but I can't seem to track down that specific post.

Well... if there was that means we have our 6.

GG
Chameleon
Ock
Vulture
RHINO

and either Mysterio (if there was a glimpse) or Electro.

How would people feel if that was the S6?

I think going back to all the folk like me who are hoping to learn how Man In Shadows vanished in & out of Dr Connors cell may well be due to him holding a possible holocube.

My reasons

1 - ASM2 when we see Harry hold onto and later on get an electric shock (Electro's not inside the cube by the way) from that Oscorp cube like device could be a Holocube or others like it may exist that give us artificial images, illusions etc.

2 - When we see MIS close up in ASM you notice he rubs his hand while other is concealed by his hat. Maybe just maybe he actually had one of Oscorps cubes and received a shock & to make it look as if he were inside the cell.

Again this makes me wonder if Webb is teasing us Mysterio or somesort of link to his character for ASM3.

If those who have seen both these films have a similar idea or also noticed what I think may well be the link to Man In Shadows, Mysterio & Oscorp feel free to add your views here.

I don't have a huge problem if Mysterio's holocubes were already in production at Oscorp at all but again I know all too well that some would prefer him be not tied to Oscorp.

:woot:

GG, Ock, Mysterio, Electro, Vulture and Rhino is my optimal line-up.

Agreed^^

Chameleon wouldn't be a good choice in my opinion. I want a big name villain.

Wouldn't really mind the Lizard if he was set to come back.

Surely the Black Cat will be in there, rather than Chameleon?

I don't think the chameleon should be in the S6, he's not really an exciting character action-wise.

Mysterio, on the other hand should definitely be part of it.

Are you kidding? Chameleon or Mysterio would add an element of paranoia to Peter. If it starts in this movie that he is seeing Captain Stacy, why not play up the angle that he sees Uncle Ben, Captain Stacy, and Gwen wherever he goes? Heck, why not have either or of the villains disguised as Norman Osborn. Peter would be shocked to see him alive and well after being told by everyone else he's dead, but when it's revealed that the real Norman Osborn is very much alive and the new Green Goblin, it would totally screw with his head and life even more.

“He does whatever a spider can… like self-heal." - Harry.

I thought that was pretty cool.

When he said it I instantly thought of that bit from the game!

I always thought the Chameleon was a pretty silly villain. I don't see how he would work in the S6 personally. If you take Mysterio, his illusions could really "damage" Spidey and twist his head enough, especially with the other villains there. Chameleon on the other hand, he just dresses up/transforms into others. He works well if you want a minor villain, framing Spidey for crimes and story arcs like that, but Spidey actually fighting Chameleon? Apart from his transformation, he doesn't really have any powers. He shouldn't be in S6 imo. While Mysterio is a "similar" kind of villain, he is a much more dangerous villain IMO.

- There's a shot towards the end of the film that mirrors this.

Peter's on the left and May's on the right in the shot from TASM 2, I doubt it was unintentional. The shot above is also towards the end of TASM too.

- There's a bit where the nerds on TV in Times Square are talking about how they think Spidey's suit is rubberised or something... wink at the Electro-Proof suit?

- The nerds (from above) are the same nerds walking in front of Peter in TASM, discussing the physics of his swinging, shortly before the Spider-Man reveal POV scene

- Just this, haha.

I realise that some of these aren't easter eggs, but I thought they were cool regardless!

Woah, those were the same guys?

Did NOT notice that. Woah.

I didn't notice it the second time either, my friend told me! xD
