The Emperor in TESB 2004 DVD

Here's his picture, and I found the audio of it but I want to find the video. I've never seen it and I want to add it to my custom version of the saga. Has anyone seen it online?

Yeah, they chose to put Ian McDiarmid in TESB. If I remember correctly the old Emporer was a female.

Even though yes it is indeed an old woman they use for the Emperor in the original theatrical ESB, it looks much better lighting wise.

I liked the idea of them incorporating McDiarmid, but when I saw it, I cringed. It looked slapped on, and MY GOD THE DIALOGUE. They killed the atmosphere and overall power of the original scene, and tried to explain some excusable plot hole. Lucas could have done it right, had they simply used the same lighting and dialogue, but no. As usual, he mucked up more than he helped.

I didn't like how the new version looks like he's about to take Vader to get some ice cream and a trip to the candy store. The Emperor looked like a b****. He should've looked a bit meaner to me.

The original version sucked compared to McDiarmid's Emperor and I love that Lucas went back and tried to make continuity, but like SSMGS said, the menace and power of THE Emperor (The only man that has Vader as his b****) is gone. I liked the quick appearance and approach that the original had. Basically, the Emperor was like:

Emperor: Go wash my drawels.
Vader: Yes, Master

Yeah, the original seemed so dark and cool, now it's ugly and pt-ish.

Anyone have clips of both the original and new one so we can compare? I haven't had the luxury to see the original scene.

Why? It's the same scene but the dialouge is just changed a bit.

^It's changed alot.

In the original scene, the Emperor seriously has 3-4 lines tops. In the updated one, the Emperor and Vader have a full-fledged conversation. The overall power of the original is gone. In the original, like I said above, it was more commanding and quick. It's like "Go and bake my goddamn cookies." The updated one is like "Well Vader, if you really want to, go ahead and bake my cookies. Chocolate chip if you don't mind" along with other unnecessary dialog.
