THANOS has , at times acted as if he was the most sinister villian in the Marvel universe...certainly his nhilistic phase could qualify as this..but tycnically a nihilist beleives in nothing, so even a belief in evil is forbidden. (but not to realistic when judged against his actions)

However he has grown into a complex character. him seeking to end all life ended about 5-6 years ago..and he has been somewhat of a searcher since then. I dont think he is truly evil any more.


I'd rank the Red Skull up there IMO , a guy who would make life a nightmare for all.

Mephesto would obviously be very very high on the list too. But somthing about Red Skull is just more real and visceral of a type of evil.

Galactus isnt evil, he doesn't look at things like that. It's his way of surviving that doesn't make him evil.

When I was looking at the list of people I thought half those people arent really THAT evil, especially Magneto, Dr. Doom is somewhat evil but he is more of a power hungary tyrant. Galactus does the things he does to survive. Thanos is pretty damn evil, Beyonder I dont know to much about, Red Skull is a Nazi ( I dont care what your views are but thats evil ). Ironman is NOT evil, plain and simple. Pheonix is the opposite of Galactus, so its just part of her nature.

I say Green Goblin, Red Skull, Thanos, and Apocolypse are the most eveil of the bunch. The hard part for me is ranking these four.

Yea Jokers a different kind of evil, but Green Gonblin is one of the closest villians at being Joker Evil.

The Beyonder destroyed galaxies to create a single small planet, pick out some twenty people, and place them on said planet just to see them fight.


Phoenix was actually killing things needlessly. It wasn't exactly necessary for her to go around destroying suns and such. Galactus NEEDS to eat planets to survive. Iron Man isn't evil, but he's definitely not pinning himself up as a good person. And Thanos is now, allegedly, trying to use his powers for good or something.
