Barry accidentally has his first time travel experience just as weather-controlling meta-human siblings Mark Mardon (Liam McIntyre) and Clyde Mardon (Chad Rook) returns to wreak havoc in Central City. The Flash returns with new episodes Tuesday March 17th on The CW!

So I am guessing Wells and RF being in the same room was not because of time travel, but because he is so damn fast. Looks like Joe is in trouble as well, cant wait, for the next episode.

Exactly how fast is Wells that he can be in two freaking places at once? That's freaking insane. That has to be how he managed to beat the crap out of himself in the mid-season finale.

Can't believe we didn't realize it earlier. Well's used Multiplex's DNA to clone himself to beat his own ass back in the mid season finale.

Still don't get the time travel, as in, will Barry be in another timeline and reality, and everything else be the same in the current timeline, or will Barry change something which affects the current timeline?

Could basically be moving to a point where season 2 basically becomes an altered Flashpoint world.

I remember in one of the older comics, the Flash was that fast. He could literally be in two places at the same time and have a conversation with himself. I forget if it was Barry or Wally though as it was a long time ago, LOLs.

I think that was Barry when he was talking to Wally.

Both of them were capable of doing that, I think Jay might've been able to as well. Didn't expect them to use that trick on the show just yet.

Well, we won't know that until the show elaborates on it.

The whole time travel aspect may just end up being portrayed in the same way that it was in the third Harry Potter film, where Barry's time traveling ends up being a self-fulfilling event.

Present day Barry has no idea why his future counterpart "failed" to save his mom. He's likely to learn why when he actually finds himself in that same position, where the Reverse Flash threatens to kill young Barry Allen, thus undoing all of the good that Barry accomplished as the Flash and forcing Barry to make that difficult choice.

I know I know!! It's because he wasn't trying to save her!! He was the murderer!! First we will have a season in which he does go back and saves her, which creates the alternate timeline where RF is living the dream and everything is messed up. Than at the end of that he will realize that the death of his mother was a worthy sacrifice for what he became and what he can do. Without his mother passing things arent the same. So he runs back again, with RF in pursuit, to kill his mom. RF was trying to save her this time and Barry ends up killing her.

    How EPIC is that!!

Also, here is my review of the episode lol:

There's also the possibility that, thanks to the Reverse Flash, history has already changed. What if Barry's mom was supposed to have lived? Meaning what we've been watching all along has been an alternate timeline as a result of both the Flash and the Reverse Flash going back to that night. And here's the other question Barry is not considering: if he went back in time at some point in his personal future, what happened to him? I have own idea which could be very wrong:
That Harrison Wells is actually the older Barry Allen from the original timeline. He failed to save his mom and so he killed the original Reverse Flash (which is why he has that suit), but the battle resulted in him being stranded in the past and having to take on a different identity. Thus everything he's doing, from causing the particle accelerator explosion, attempting to make Barry run faster, wearing the Reverse Flash suit, even helping Gorilla Grodd, etc.--all of it is to motivate Barry into getting faster at a much earlier age in order saving their mom. And if that fails, attempting to repair his own speed by siphoning Barry's so he can travel back and do it himself.

It's gonna be a brutal wait, that's for sure; episode 15 looks well worth the wait though, s**t's gonna get crazy.

I know, and that is the problem, the show has been doing a great job and this week's episode was amazing, and from the promo episode 15 will probably be even better, which is why I don't want to wait :woo: (I know, I'm a crybaby)

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with that theory.

Wells being an "older version" of Barry just doesn't line up with a lot of the things that we've seen.

For starters, whenever Wells runs, he leaves a trace of red lightning whereas Barry leaves a streak of yellow lightning.

Also, I have the hardest time imagining that an older version of Barry would resort to the level of things that Wells has done on a ethical note. We've seen no traces of Barry's current personality to indicate that he's capable of evolving into a person like Wells.

Plus, Wells wouldn't refer to Barry as a different person when talking to Gideon (his computer).

Couldn't we have waited until we had an episode title before starting a thread?

If Barry was already in the past then that means that the whole show has always been the post-flashpoint world.
