A lot of people are talking about the ending which those who caught the leaked version already knew about.They pretty much aired the leaked version of Pilot.

The ending will make people think Wells Is show version of Reverse Flash.

The Smallville pilot got 8.4 million, the show averaged more than 4.5m for several seasons, so The Flash is closer to the Arrow pilot (4.14m) and will probably go down to 3+ million viewers like Arrow did.

Since the highest rated CW shows are Arrow and The Flash, maybe they should become the superhero network.

Smallville did that on the WB.Wb gave smallville bigger budget than CW did.
Smallville averaged around 4 million till CW vanished it to friday nights for
Vampire Diaries.

Why does it only have to be one?
Eddie Thrawn could be a ancestor of Professor Zoom but I think his storyline maybe more in line with Hunter Zolomon. A present day cop who is injured...wants Flash to heal him...Flash says no...an accident happens and he gets powers.

Harrison Wells...I think will take his story line from Eobard Thrawn and will be the guy who comes back and time to make Flash stronger so he won't disappear in the Crisis..or something like that

I've watched the pilot several times at this point and it still puts a smile on my face.
Everything from between seeing a favorite character on screen in live action to that swelling soundtrack. Love it.
And the "just going for it" crossover with Arrow. I can't wait to see it grow.


Also, the potential wide range of tones and stories they gave themselves is brilliant.
Time travel, potential alternate dimension version of Flash and Arrow, and freaking Grodd(However that's going to happen).
And tonally it can be light or dark, whatever they need.

I was really looking forward to the gainer variant flip Oliver did off the building like in the trailer. Figures the suits changed it, things can only be so cool.

I don't think you should have big bads recur. I think if you do a Grodd storyline for a year, you should do everything you can possibly do with Grodd to make it the best Grodd storyline evar. You may bring him back to guest or whatever if he's cool in combination with something else, but there shouldn't be any more really big Grodd storylines to do for a season because you've already done them all.

1.8 demo is amazing. Arrow only as a 1.3 demo for the premiere. (Demos matter more than total viewers) That's the highest rated premiere in 5 years on the CW.

i09 already addressed this in an article, but I will as well: while that future headline might have been an Easter Egg reference to the Crisis on Infinite Earths, there's no chance in heck that it's actually meant to foreshadow such an event, for one simple reason: there's never going to be multiple realities needing to be combined into one.

It's an Easter Egg reference to the Crisis, but whatever happened to make Barry disappear in the future is not going to BE the Crisis. It will be something entirely different, and possibly existing solely in the minds of Berlanti and Co. (meaning that it has no comics correlation).

Comparing ratings from 2001 to 2014 is like comparing apples and oranges. before stuff like torrents, DVRs, online streaming, etc TV shows had much higher ratings in the early part of the century. 13 years ago you had like 10 shows that could crack 20M viewers, now you are lucky if 1 show cracks 20M viewers in any given week(well besides football).

It's a basic case that stuff that was cancel worthy for the WB in 2001 would be one of the top rated shows on the CW now
