Aside from Killer Frost, there seemed like a lot of other glimpses from the future that may or may not happen. I thought that was pretty cool, gives us a possible sneak peek.

Eddie ended up as this shows Tommy.

It does seem so, but with all the time travel in play and promise of alternate timelines for season 2, I hope he isn't gone for good. Or at least not as sporadic a guest star as the guy who plays Tommy.

Im guessing that RF has encountered Jay Garrick at some point, that being his cue to leave, he seemed slightly scared.

Could just be his knowledge of the timeline and his study of the Flash and the Speed Force that he knew it would be bad news if they met.

Well like he said, there's no such things as coincidences. They made a point of referring to him as a wildcard, anomaly etc.. then of showing his body sucked up into the wormhole.

They've really left the door open for him. Although the noble death works well too if he isn't coming back.

I'd imagine that this will effect how certain things play out now. Eobard knew everything about Barry and his life and used that to his advantage, and probably caused some things too. So this unseen variable of Eddie ending the Thawne line will have either small or big consequences on the future.

So at this point I think it's safe to say that the movie will never be as good as this show.

So with eddie potentially coming back and the easter egg mention of Cobalt with the time machine.
do you think he will be coming back as Cobalt blue and ends up being the entire reason for eobard thawnes hatred for barry because its been something handed down generation to generation.

I don't think we can assume anything (this is The Flash afterall), but we do know who's still signed as a cast member, and we've already read Eddie's probably going to be back at some point.

I'm still betting the CW goes light on the paradoxes, but I'm impressed they're going there. Great 1st season.

I really hope they don't do Trial of the Flash. That entire plot arc was dumb dumb dumb. Three words to any would be comic writer: "Defense of Another".

When that happened, I blurted out a "Holy ****". My girlfriend was so confused and asked what it meant, but I had to silence her until after the episode ended.

Wow, I didn't take that as an Easter Egg mention of Cobalt.

Anyway, Wells/Thawne suggested to Cisco that they use a cobalt-based resin for the time-sphere.

Eddies sacrifice is the lynchpin
Eobard ceased to exist, so
Barry's mom isn't murdered
Dad not imprisoned
Wells is alive, Eobard didn't murder him
What else happens who knows?
Do we get Metas, Grodd?
Is it a number of years before Barry is hit by lightning

Then $64,000 question, if Eobard doesn't go back and possess the Wells identitity. Why would Eddie ever self sacrifice.

Really is a butterfly effect. All of it could ripple to Arrow. No Star Labs team, no Mirakuru cure and no defeat of Slade's forces.

In comics Eobard started out a Flash nerd. Perhaps history lets us know of Jay Garrick or perhaps he doesn't exist in altered timeline but does in the original. It popping out may usher his return and only thing a reverse flash hates more than a Flash, 2 Flashes.

Really? Only twice? Because I was pretty much a mess the entire episode, give or take a few moments.

Okay okay. To be honest, I teared up 3.5 times.

1. Joe/Barry moments
2. Barry/Dad Prison scene
3. Barry/Mom scene

I almost teared up when Eddie shot himself. So half a point there. I always thought he was a good character and I sympathized with his situation. He turned out to be a very important character and I feel like laughing at people who thought he was a waste of time.

Kudos to the show for keeping Eddie a good guy until the end (and ultimately showing up Barry), and not turning him into the stereotypical jilted ex-lover.

Finale had some really strong parts. Practically movie-like.

I'm a bit newer to DC but have the New 52 Flash (Volumes 1-3), Rebirth, Death of the Rogues, and Flashpoint. I know a lot of you guys are talking about "Multiverse" and had to look what that term meant. Do any of you guys recommend some trades that involve much of Barry crossing over timelines/universes? How about this "Infinite Crisis"?

That Barry/Mom scene at the end was so damn great. I mean, it was pretty messed up, but so great.

Glad Eddie did sacrificed himself the way he did. For some reason, I've always liked those secondary 'common' guys, like Tommy was in Arrow. They seem the most relatable to me.

Interesting. Thanks for the reply! Yeah Jay Garrick is in Rebirth along with all those other speedsters. Don't know much about him but I'll look out for Flash of Two Worlds the next time I'm at the store. Anything else you recommend to get me started with this whole multiple universe/timeline arc?
