This is funny because before it was called CW, it was The WB. Back when adult 30 somethings were writing shows like Buffy, Angel and Charmed, and they wrote stories for themselves. They always listened to the feedback of their fans and took what they said into consideration. I think with the merge of UPN and WB shows like Gilmore Girls and later shows like One Tree Hill, the writers seem to reduce the intelligence of the writing quality. I also saw a writer on twitter recently say they don't want criticism on their writing, basically you have one option: "love what I write or don't say anything." I don't think Joss Whedon, Douglas Petrie, Jane Espenson, Drew Goddard and Marti Noxon would have spoken that way.

oh I agree something went wrong there . But it's not the only place that did that it happened in the comic industry too. and other channels /stations in parts of NBC and cbs and few other places .

I don't know why a huge number of area's thought it was good idea to dumb down certain things like characters intelligence and number of other things. I remember dick wolf claimed it was the on coming of reality's shows like Jersey shore and the like but I thing other factors were at play .

Now & days its the mentality of the writers thinking the audience will acept anything we put on no matter how poor.

Til they get the wake call from audience they say /think that about , saying other wise.



Part of it I think had to do with the moving of who was in charge back then . those that under stood that quality of things like good stories where intelligence of character wasn't sacrificed back then where the wb was involved before the cw came into play.

They are no longer in any sort of power and there isn't anyone that's fallowing their teaching cause most of the people coming to power are all to busy trying make names for them selves then care about any lasting legacy of quality . it's just I'm out for me and what I can get out of this. there were always people like that mind you. But it just seems more so and showing things like shows these. there still good things that show up.

but it get over shadowed far too often.

Does anyone feel like their enthusiasm for this show has died down? I'm not referring not watching it at all. You still watch, you just don't feel what you felt when you first watched it? The writing was better, the characters weren't overall unlikable, there were silver linings at the end of a conflict, it wasn't so dark and drab.

Yes.

Flash isn't dark at all, I wish the lighter tone could come back and I'll feel like they're back where they should be. Again, just a personal though, probably unpopular at best.

Wasn't ever an issue of being dark, as it is, same with Arrow before this season, they got hokier with the comic book elements to the point where the grounded aspects of the show couldn't do (if it was written well in the first place) a good enough job contrasting them. The stakes aren't as dire as they used to be. The story isn't as enthralling as it used to be.
Great writing in general, even with what they currently have to work with, would've made a difference. Although, if that's not possible, my suggestion would be for the members of team Flash to physically, not just mentally, go on their own little adventures. Caitlyn's Killer Frost escapade was a decent
foot in the right direction. Everyone else seems to just always be there.

Eh... There was a lot of badly done dreck on the old WB and many of the successes (outside of the Whedon bubble anyways) were so in spite of the writing and not because of it.

It's likely the Titans and should be. On any other net work it'll die fast with the exception of the cw. besides it'll be good place to put wally west as the founder and if they ever bring back Roy aka Arsenal.....

We're only getting that (<< young justice ) in animated form and Geoff john's has been pushing for the live action titans for while and he told the comic book news out leta after TnT got wired cancelled the project that he hasn't given up on a live action serious version of the latter on tv mid last year. I even put it up here a few times . It was what he most talkied about tv wise among other things

Team Flash members also have individual odysseys ahead of them. Helbing says there are &#8220;big, exciting plans&#8221; for Caitlin, stemming from her wrestling with her powers for the rest of the season; Cisco will find in the &#8220;badass&#8221; Gypsy &#8220;a very strong adversary&#8221; as well as &#8220;someone he can&#8217;t stop thinking about&#8221;; and Wally will continue to &#8220;go a little half-cocked&#8221; as Kid Flash.

A LOT appearance would makes sense. He comes and drags Eobard into the Speed Force as punishment for wreaking havoc on the timeline. They need a convenient way to get rid of him, since they don't have a speedster on their side or Eddie Thawne to shoot himself (again) and erase Eobard from the timeline (again).
