Hows about we chalk the whole movie up to a Rothman ****-up? It seriously looks like a DTV. It looks terrible.

Fox hasn't had a movie they made on their own cross $300M domestic since ID4 way back in 1996.

Weren't they also trying to not release Idiocracy or something like that? I'm pretty sure I remember a controversy along those lines.

They released it in the bare minimum of theaters to cover their ass. Of course it was great with loads of "Biting the hand that feeds humor" and "take that"... which probably caused the screw over from Fox.

Hilarious how one second they love Mike Judge for Office Space then hate him for Idiocracy.

Minority Report, XI, X2, uh.... help me out here, what else?

My list from another thread:

Looking at their filmography from past ten years (No use going beyond that. They were still a good studio in the 90's.), these are the movies I liked:

The X Files: I Want to Believe (2008) (F you, it was a good "two-parter episode")
Transporter 2 (2005)
Kingdom of Heaven (2005) (Director's Cut)
X2 (2003)
X-Men (2000)
Ravenous (1999)

In Death Sentence, Road to Perdition and Mouling Rouge! Fox is credited as "Presents", so I dunno what's the deal there. Either way, I liked those as well. Also, From Hell is a complete **** compared to the comic book, but I have soft spot for the movie adaptation as I saw it before reading the comic.

20th Century Fox produced films

(Fight Club was a Fox 2000 Pictures production. If someone wonders something...)

Idiocracy is probably the most relevant comedy in years because...it's actually happening.

But it's science fiction... because it definitely won't take five hundred years to get that stupid. It'd be more spot on if Judge was allowed his original idea... a ******ed dude gets frozen for five hundred years and ends up the smartest man in the world.

Fox didn't make Taken...they bought the publishing rights for here in the states and chopped it down to get a PG-13. So Taken is not from Fox.

S--t! I forgot about that. Too bad that it worked so well, cause it's over 100 mil domestic.

Yeah:( But they didn't make it so that is why it was a good movie. Heard the actual cut is better though.

Welp...Taken 2 will be made so chalk that up to another raping Fox has done to a good movie by turning into a bad franchise.

As long as Liam Neeson avoids it like all the Darkman sequels... they don't count.

I give Fox a pass on Taken. From what I understand, most of the biggest cuts were made before it came stateside. A few trims later, Fox has a hugely marketable PG-13 thriller (that is still a fine film), so that time it worked.

Fox Searchlight only distributed it. They didn't put up any money to actually make it. Same thing with Slumdog Millionaire.

I've heard terrific things about it.
It's really funny and Terry Crewes is awesome in it.

Definitely. Just like Die Hard 4... the unrated dvd was better.
Not to disagree with you but how did it make it better? All they added in was pointless swearing{yes, I know it's a DH movie} that did nothing to enhance the overall movie.

since when does swearing enhance a movie? its just there because people swear.

and its more badass.
