I don't remember, it's second hand information from a very trusted guy who rigorously knows the Alien movies.

I think my favourite abandoned Alien 3 concept is David Fincher's $150 million dollar Hearts of Darkness adaptation. I think he may have been joking, but it sounds epic on paper.

I haven't read that script but, I do remember reading about the original script ideas during the early 90s where the storyline was supposed to take place on earth with a Blade Runner setting. The script was ultimately rejected for budget reasons yet I remember seeing a teaser trailer in the theaters which advertised the storyline as taking place on earth. Talk about false advertising.

I personally don't know anyone who actually likes the theatrical cut of Alien 3. Though I do have one friend who thinks the director's cut was okay but, nothing special. If it was a stand alone movie I wouldn't have as many issues with it. I think it's a horribly bad and unnecessary way to end what started off as a great franchise.

The wooden Death Star, that was a bit out there considering the Alien series was as realistic as a series about a 8 foot slimey acid bleeding alien could be.

All sci-fi series have certain rules and theories within their worlds that we are supposed to accept if we're going to find any enjoyment in this form of entertainment. Alien established that there are 8 foot slimey acid bleeding creatures. That movie and the later ones also, established that the technology in that world was somewhat similar to ours. At no point in the series did we ever see any technology(guns, space crafts) that was made out of wood. That's the reason the wooden planet concept sounded completely idiotic.

I thought Alien 3 was alright. The directors cut especially.

It went back to the more atmospheric, claustrophobic roots. Similar to the first one in that it was more of a horror. And the actual vision of it, the look and feel of the film was pretty accurate to Giger's original vision IMO. Quite disturbing and oppressive visuals, and some cool action scenes with those dodgy cockneys.

Sure everyone was dead at the end, but I thought that's what made it stand out. Riply went through so much that the only way to end it all was to be dead.

Dragonball is laughable! Its rated PG and 90 minutes long. Wow.

And I am a former DBZ fan (my favorite show during my preteen years) who actually thinks that a good live action DBZ film is possible. In my mind I can make a better DBZ film then the crap we will get (then again...who can't?)
