With the fox deal all but approved and just waiting on international regulationa we look a head at the future of the MCU and what it may hold for us. With the fantastic four and xmen returning home Disney have all but future proofed the MCU for the next decade at least but what about the heroes who started this whole thing?

Iron Man
Thor
Captain America
Hulk
Black Widow
Hawkeye

Or as I like to call them. The original six. Witn the first family and mutants confirmed. What happens to Cap and Iron Man? Will we even see someone else take the mantle of Cap now that someone like Reed Richards could come in or Wolverine? Will they be more willing to kill off Iron Man now? What about Hulk? Universal wont play ball and we dont know the exact details of the deal. Do universal get a cheque everytime Hulk appears in Avengers? if so could it be time to say goodbye? With the acquisition of the fox properties i would be very worried about their future in the MCU they just became a whole lot more expendable.

For some reason I feel the Hulk rights will be acquired soon from Universal as part of a trade. Disney and Fox owns part of DreamWorks library

I think a perusal through the phase 4 thread and trying to integrate these films into it will provide an answer.

Overall, the focus on these characters was going to divert with or without the acquisition of Fox as so many sequels left to do on other franchises regardless. 1 or 2 cosmic films will probably not come to fruition is my guess.

Individual based films (not so much team based) featuring legacy characters one can probably rule out to an extent over the next 10 years I think is the main thing as far as original 6 go.
