Now we know why he didn't appear in the film. :o

Just the right amount of jank to make it a good time.

Cozy Tim Burton style platformer.

So what if Outlast Trials, but with muppet people.

Don't have a lot of time to do anything right now, but I've finished DotO. So that's what completing a game feels like... Final time is 19h 19m 29s r.i.p. those ten seconds is me refusing to get in knee high water.

I'm two missions into D2 (just left the ship) and I'm realizing I relied way too much on one of Billie's abilities, yikes (marking enemies). Also, Emily's version of Dark Vision feels 'nerfed'; not enjoying the weird pulse. And yet another weird version of Blink, just like Billie. I mean, they're fine, I just can't play the way I did D1, I feel slow :funny: (does Corvo in D2 have the same abilities he has in D1?) But I just stared, I'll get used to it, like with DotO.

Didn't see much of the first level, not having any abilities threw me, but the current level is very nice. I'm enjoying the bright sunlight in this game. The enemy/neutral territory is a fun addition, a welcome break from having to crouch walk everywhere until you've taken all the guards out. Can't wait to play more.

Yes, Corvo has the same abilities as in D1 if my memory is right. You'll have upgrade paths later so you can choose the ones that fit the way you play.

Emily has a different set of abilities to set both characters apart. I played Corvo in my first playthrough so the transition between the games was more smooth.

That's good to know, thanks. I've played D1 so many times, playing as Corvo again felt a little pointless (I will on a second run). For now I'll have to figure out how not to hit my head and just fall, even though the path was clear, Emily. Her body not actually teleporting is weirdly confusing.

Anyway, woke up at 3 today and 'napped me a doctor. Hypatia reminded me of a Splicer a little bit. Game went from sunny to spooky real quick. Grabbed the shadow (?) ability and it messed me up. I don't feel human anymore, but it's kinda fun to crawl around on the floor? :funny: There was no one around to really try it out, I'll have to do that next time.

  • Haha
Reactions: Gee
Things I hate about mascot horror is how the first game is always short, sweet, and to the point. Then the money comes a flowing and the lengths of the games get longer and then the story gets convoluted and overstuffed with characters... I'm looking at you Poppy Playtime!

Always fully upgrade your stun mines, people. Life saver 😩

Lost count how many times I've said I'm in your walls so far. Not my favorite map, but it gets a gold star just for that. It's very confusing and taking forever, though.

Dead by Daylight wants to use Pennywise for the game, but Stephen King said no.

This game is too real. Everything is smart appliances with AI, drones delivering groceries and food, and everything is subscription based with ads even the mirror.

In an unexpected twist, my PS3 has outlived my PS4.

Where's A Hat in Time 2, Gears for Breakfast! :argh:

Finally made it out of the mansion. Those hatches above the elevator doors, that require using Far Reach most of the time to get through, were testing me.

Speaking of Far Reach, nope, I just can't get used to it, it's just pissing me off now. My favorite thing about the Dishonored games is the climbing; Far Reach feels like it's made to move fast down a straight road, not up and over.

Well yeah... Emily's abilities are really different to Corvo's. :oldrazz: Two completely different play styles.

So, what did you think of the Clockwork Mansion? A masterclass in level design. :ok:

I'd consider that bad game design, when Corvo, Daud and Billie don't have that problem. With them you can play however you want. Emily being the odd one out doesn't feel intentional. And it's really only Far Reach that's an issue. The rest of her abilities feel different enough from Corvo's while still allowing a similar play style. Far Reach feels like no one tested it.

The mansion is very pretty. Although I feel like I only got to appreciate it at the end after taking everyone out. When the Clockwork Soldier showed up in the first room and the floor was still moving I jumped down to hide. And had nowhere to go. But it immediately tipped me off to go in the walls :funny: I did spend way too much time wandering around flipping switches (getting zapped and dying to a pylon :cmad:) after dumping Anton outside. Actually the room where Anton is kept felt too easy, but I guess it's designed to keep him in, not Emily out.

Did you have a favorite room? The lobby is a pretty good introduction. I like the workshop with the spinning floors, but his bedroom is also nice. Less showy, but the transformation is cool (and it has the view of the city). I think my favorite part is still that I can run around in the walls. :funny:

Oh. Why does the game let you collect the little numbers the Soldiers have? I feel like that did nothing  Even went back and destroyed the Soldier that didn't activate, just in case lol.
