Amblin Entertainment has set Blaise Hemingway to adapt the John Connolly novel "The Gates" into a feature that could launch a potential franchise.
The middle grade science fiction novel trilogy follows an 11-year-old boy named Samuel Johnson and an outcast demon, who together must stop hell on Earth after escaped energy from the Hadron Collider pokes a hole in the proverbial time-space continuum.
Michael De Luca will produce the property which will adapt the two subsequent novels "The Infernals" and "The Creeps" should the first be a success.
