I finally saw 16 Blocks tonight on Cinemax. And, let's face it, it's a Gauntlet rip-off. But. . .a good rip-off. :yay: I really liked the movie. However, I prefer Clint Eastwood's The Gaunlet from 1977. The whole purpose of the story was to set-up over the top action sequences. Which is what The Gaunlet delivered.

I actually was disappointed in 16 Blocks,i found it a bit bland
The Gauntlet's larger sprawl cat and mouse game made it more interesting and the relationship between Eastwood/Locke was more entertaining and enjoyable than the Willis/Mos Def one IMO plus the bike/Chopper chase was a great action sequence

Yeah I thought the same thing when I saw the movie...I loved the Gauntlet as a kid. You know...I used to think it was a Dirty Harry sequel when I was younger...then I finally saw it again the other day and was shocked...his name wasn't harry in it...lol.

But anyway...Bruce is massively cool....but he's no Clint. No actor today can ever be like how clint was in his prime.
