When I read this I always think of Image United :( I'm still waiting for the ending to that crossover event.

What's everyone been reading? I haven't been able to squeeze much reading time in lately, but last night I grabbed a stack of books and sat on the toilet for an hour and a half.

    Haha :woot:
I'm currently in the middle of reading an actual book right now, so my comic reading is on hold at the moment. Once I get back to it though I'm considering either the Winter Soldier arc or continuing the Astonishing X-men book.

The Brubaker Winter Soldier arc and Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men?

Currently reading Lady Killer vol. 2. Can't wait for Jones' Catwoman. Before that, I finished Stephanie Brown as Batgirl run.

Bought Starlin's Death of the New Gods and The Last Days of American Crime from Rick Remender yesterday during FCBD.

    Yes and yes.
I read the first volume of Astonishing X-men a few years back and now I have the rest of Whedon's run in my bookshelf. The Winter Soldier book I got maybe a year ago or so but haven't had a chance to look through it yet.

Finally caught up on Grass Kings by Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins. It ends this month with issue 15 but is veeeeerrrry good. It's about a small community of people living off the grid with a kind of fiefdom established that gets torn apart when a mysterious woman washed up from the nearby lake. It's kind of a rural crime drama. It's got some beautiful artwork and very concise storytelling.

My LCS is clearing out all New 52 trades. 50% - 60% off all trades! Going to fill in some of the books I'm missing.

I would love to get in on that. There's a few N52 titles in my collection that I would like to expand on that I have been enjoying greatly.

I have to say, I'm quite impressed with the way DC has added some big creative names in recent times. They've really raided the Marvel offices. John Romita, Brian Michael Bendis, now Jim Cheung. Even Olivier Coipel has done some covers.

I like seeing the best guys work on a number of different projects over time, and crossing between companies is fine for me as long as they continue their good work.

Check out the current Man Of Steel limited series by Michael Bendis. You won't be disappointed. Bendis is still in top form as a writer

So I have a question about comics in general for you guys. Nowadays it's pretty common to hear comments similar to "Him/her/they have no idea how this character is supposed to be/act or that a certain hero is not true to the character from the comics".
This can either be in the context of all the new movies coming out where lets say for example Batman in BvS is not acting like Batman "is supposed" to. This can also be applied for when a new writer takes over a certain comic title.
So my question is, how is it decided which take on a certain character is considered the "correct" one? Is it just a matter of what came first or what portrayal made this certain character "click" with the readers or maybe it's something that changes with the times?
    What's your opinion on this?
