The last floppies I bought were Ghost Rider and the Death's Head mini. I have been keeping up with books and I have no idea how Ghost Rider gets ****canned but Spider-Woman can still be printed when the comic is complete ****.

I believe she was also responsible for putrinf together the creative teams for all of the 2-part Convergence tie-ins. There were quite a bit of heavy hitters in there and a lot of those books were pretty damn good.

Do we have any clue yet of who’s taking over when he’s gone?

No they're doing the 5g storyline for 2 months after he's gone then they're announcing the new team. Rumors have it though they are going back to the silver age type story telling and some what doing away with continuity where are stories are supposed to be self contained and can take place whenever and have no effect on the next story.

I’m not adverse to this. But I have to say that after all of the work that Tomasi put into making Superman such a quality flagship title in Rebirth, it was disappointing to say the least to see Bendis come along and erase it.

Yeah, seems a good choice looking at what she worked on.
We will see, but im rather optimistic.

Woah, Gail on Green arrow & Black Canary? Hell yes.
I must say that i do get quite a bit hyped for this stuff, the "end of the DCU", future state and what comes after that.
Of course im worried too that they make a mess, but mostly rather excited.

I know future state is all the 5g stories they already had written and finished and ready to push out which is why I just call it 5g because they are both the same thing. But instead of it being ongoing it will wrap in two months.

I loved Three Jokers personally. Sure, it wasn't groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it for it was.

    Why? Whats the purpose?
Three Jokers didnt break any rules or so, didnt push anything or really meant anything.
What could you do in a sequel?

I mean im on board with it because of the art, you can never get enough of that...but storywise it doesnt really have anything to go with.
    But we will see.

Wait? Is it really the biggest selling comic book 2020? Really?

If it is, it doesn't surprise me. Like I said, mildly entertaining continuity porn.

The three Jokers storyline was teased back in DC Rebirth #1 so it's indeed not surprising...

Also, is/was there any other event in this year where a pandemic caused a hiatus/delay in the comic book industry?

The Three Jokers story actually started during the Darkseid Wars.

Was it? I don't recall any hint to the Three Jokers in DW...

-edit- Okay just looked it up.. It was that moment when Bruce sat on the Mobius chair.

It was actually at the midpoint of the Darkseid Wars after Batman got the powers of Metron and he tried to find out who the Joker was that he found out there were three of them instead of one. All of this was suppose to tie into the end of the new 52/Rebirth/Doomsday Clock but delays by Johns prevented much of the original plans.

Yeah. I think that is why Three Jokers didn’t resonate that much with me or at least didn’t get me that excited. It was groundbreaking during Darkseid War but I was over it by the time it was explored.

Then the ending to Three Jokers made no sense in light of Darkseid War as it begs the question: if Bruce always knew Joker’s identity as he states in 3 Jokers, why did he ask the Mobius Chair?

Problem is Johns always starts something then gets tied up with so many other things that when he gets back to whatever he started it becomes irrelevant.

I will be so happy when Marvel loses the rights to Conan comics. There is no reason what so ever for Conan to be in the future.

    It's... pretty bad, yeah.

I wanted to like Savage Avengers but the story is painful and I can't get into any of the art except for the 1 issue illustratred by Butch Guice and the Empyre tie in by Greg Smallwood.

Have they gotten that bad? I dropped Conan The Barbarian when Jason Aaron wrapped up his run, and dropped Savage Sword like a hot potato two issues in, coming back for that 3 part Roy Thomas/Alan Davis story. Everything else looks pretty uninspired.

The Busiek/Truman stuff at Dark Horse were some damn fine comics, though.

He "just wanted to be sure" or whatever.

I look at Three Jokers as being completely its own thing, much like The Killing Joke once was. So that Morbius chair stuff really doesn't matter in the context of this story itself, other than simply being where the concept of multiple Jokers was originated.
