Gunn should already be aware of him (from 2 years ago):

Put some muscle on Swindells and I think he fits "big galoot" to a T. I've also been watching him in SAS Rogue Heroes. Very charming and funny.

I understand that he doesn't have the conventional looks that people would prefer for Supermab, but that's kinda why it works for me.

He also looks like that image from All Star Superman we've now seen at nausem. Not that that means anything.

But he's also in Barbie this July and he has enough of a role to get a character-poster. For whatever that's worth.

Again not saying or implying anything. Otherwise it would be an ATL exclusive, I assure you. But... he definitely fits the type they're supposedly aiming for.

With Swindells, I think aside from not looking anything like Superman (at least I can’t see it) I’ve only ever seen him play a stick-in-the-mud with a permanent scowl on his face. Has he been in anything where he plays a more upbeat, charismatic character?

He has the basics of the Superman look without being a generic, boring hunk. I think he’d rock the Clark Kent energy and look pretty classic as Superman with the hair and the costume.

I was watching Legion of the Super-Heroes the other day and I gotta say Darren Criss does sound like a decent Clark. Too bad he's too old to play this version.
